Situated in the The Old Covent Garden Market, The Crusting Pipe is a wine bar traditionally set with candle lit tables, nooks and crannies (who doesn't like a nook or a crannie?), some hearty British fayre from the grill, and occasional live performances from musicians, opera singers and dancers (well, this is the West End).
And, vintage port is decanted daily and available by the bottle and glass, although the wine list is also extensive.
We recommend arriving earlier in the day if possible to grab yourself a seat on the alfresco terrace and then let the drama unfold before you. Bring lots
In between each act, settle in for a good bout of people-watching. It's fascinating.
Once you've had your fill of merriment, booze and food, stroll off into a shopping stupour around the West End stores.

“'twas crusty. That was, however, to be expected. the overall crustiness was a solid 11 out of 10 on the crustiness scale. A very splendid, if somewhat crusty, evening and all in all it was a jolly old bucket full of crust.”
