“Was told by a PR that mixers were £2 that night - went in and even though the (17-year-old) PR admitted his mistake they would not refund us, and claimed they did not employ the PR (despite him claiming he received 50% of entry fees). After causing a small fuss, we eventually did stay and were (to some extent understandably) treated in an extremely rude manner the whole night by staff. The fact the music and decor are boring and dated, and the club is the size of my living room, did not help either!”

“There's a new 80's night there now (March 2005) which absolutely rocks. Thursday nights. I've been a few times now and the atmosphere is great, with everyone up for dancing and having a good time. And as for not being a great place to pull, I don't know about that, but I'm glad - I hate meat-markets. This is a good place to come for retro pop, rock and all those old classics you'd nearly forgotten. The DJ is responsive to requests, and they've obviously gone to a lot of effort to set the scene. Check it out! You might even meet a famous 80's icon. Not cheap, but not overpriced: this is Central London - get used to it! Oh, and they had some comedy troupe on recently, and they went down a, ahem, STORM! Go see!”

“Great music and atmosphere without attitude. Even the barstaff are friendly and still smiling at 4am. Cosy seating area around the bar and dancefloor allows one to appreciate the wide mix of clubgoer that this club attracts (whether accidentally on the clubber's part I cannot say). Dresswise anything goes, although some of the more hard-core rap fans seem to have blurred the normal sartorial stereotype with something more akin to 'illegal mini-cab casual'. Enjoy the vibe, the company and don't ask anyone 'how much to Clapham?' and you are guaranteed a fantastic time - or at the very least, a good laugh. Pricey though.”

“I can't say much about this place except it is a club (or should I say 'club') for the sake of a club. It's like dancing in someone's garage, to sh*t music and a sh*t sound system. What's more, you have to pay £12 (!!) to dance in this sh*t garage. Their smoke machine would be more effective if I stood at one end of the place and blew out a pathetic puff from a ciggie (I don't smoke, but even nothing would be more effective). The place is full of bad-looking people (I'm sorry to all the regulars!) who look wasted, desperate, and obviously go there every weekend. Either that, or the place is full of bemused-looking people wondering how the fu*k they ended up there (I'm this category, ta). Don't waste your money. Go somewhere bigger, better, and just a whole lot more credible than this.”
