“Was just walking down The Strand and decided to go to the Coal Hole for lunch with a friend. I found the service to be really slow, and they didn't have any of the beer I wanted (that was on the menu) in the chilled form. I wasn't so impressed. Not only this, but they didn't have the peppered steak pie that both myself and my friend wanted (and was also on the menu!). When we did finally get our order the food was good - but still, don't think I'd go back there again.”

“you know when you''re just looking for a regular bar where you can have a good catch up with friends and you want somewhere that isn''t too noisy and you can get a seat? Well that''s the Coal Hole. No bells or whistles, just a good pub. Apparently does an excellent pint of Guiness...”
