“My fiance' and I enjoyed a lovely evening in Christopher's after seeing a play which was located just around the corner. The cocktail bar ambiance was welcoming and romantic; perfect for one last nightcap in the city. The cocktail menu was full of weird and wonderful concoctions that you will be sure to find something that takes your fancy. The feel of this place oozes class, and makes you forget the bustling city is taking place just outside. This is the second time we have spent a relaxing evening in Christopher's; one that has never let us down.”

“I've found a brunch home at Christopher's after my recent move here from New York. I've been there twice already in 1.5 months and not only is the food fabulous, the service is excellent. It's the perfect chic atmosphere to recover from a late Saturday night...I wish I were adventurous to try something else from the menu besides my now favourite Huevos California but I have to have it every time. Happy brunching and buon appetito!”

“I had a really wonderful meal here. The eggs alaska were spectacular and the swordfish steak and buttermilk pancakes were very tasty indeed. All in all a great meal in a great location and the service was good too - highly recommended.”

“We were absolutely delighted with the entirety of our experience at Christophers. We had the early pre - theatre menu, and loved every morsel! The tomato soup was simple and stunning, really superb. We were only going to have two courses, buy the quality of the food prompted the ordering of dessert. The chocolate brownie with bourbon vanilla ice-cream was suitably decadent and melted in the mouth. The service was really outstanding. We will most certainly return.”

“A really great place in Covent Garden - head and shoulders above the majority of the other choices in the area. The food was even better than expected, staff friendly but attentive and a really lovely dining room. Have been there for brunch (an event - plan ahead and don't eat for at least 12 hours before you go, there's so much choice!) and dinner which was really nice too. Will definitely return.”

“I started my evening in Christophers at the bar enjoying a drink with friends, and then joined colleagues for a meal in the restaurant later in the evening. The service in both the bar and the restaurant was excellent, just the right level of attention and the selection of wines available in the bar kept some very fussy people happy. The food in the restaurant was excellent the overall evening was really enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Christophers, especially as a perfect way to start an evening at the Theatre.”

“Christopher's is a great place for a meal pre- or post-theatre. The atmosphere is always great: it's lively and informal, the waiters and waitresses are friendly and helpful and the setting is very attractive. The location is also pretty good for theatreland or going out in town at night. The menu gives offers a broad range of dishes which are invariably delicious. I think their ingredients must be really good, because every meal I've had there has been wonderful, the last among the best I've ever had. The wine I've drunk there has always been extremely good. One of Christopher's biggest assets is its comfort. With a great bar downstairs, Christopher's is the perfect place to drop by for a super supper.”

“I've been to Christopher's on a number of occasions and haven't been disappointed. The service is excellent and it is always busy so best to book ahead. We went for brunch and the food was delicious and reasonably priced - amazing blueberry pancakes. Great, central location and lovely surroundings. Will definitely go again.”

“Great service and even a good atmosphere for a Tuesday night. We hadn't booked in advance and were helpfully accommodated with a table later that evening, so we had drinks in the bar, again a great atmosphere. Food was great, and I'd definitely go again.”

“Took advantage of the great pre-theatre offer and ate at Christophers for the first time. The food was delicious and fantastic value for money. We were very impressed by the service, which was always one step ahead - our glasses were never empty and toothpicks came just as I was about to ask! The atmosphere is great and despite the restaurant having so many windows and such high ceilings it was comfortably warm. I will definitely be returning and would not hesitate to recommend this place.”

“Really enjoyed the food and the quietly sophisticated atmosphere. Great value too when you take the pre-theatre menu. The service is well judged: not over attentive but parfectly in tune with the pace of our conversation. I would recommend Christophers to anyone who wants well presented, tasty food in a relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere.”

“I've had dinner at Christophers three times now, and each time the food seems to get better and better. You'll never go wrong with a steak and the simply wonderful side dishes, but even better than that in my opinion are the starters - unbelievably good!! For my second visit, I took my dad to Christophers - a man who simply does not accept substandard food, wine or service. He was also suitably impressed with the food and atmosphere, and liked the wine so much, he has since tried to source it himself so he can buy some! Having tried many poor restaurants in London, all of which were definitely not cheap, Christophers was a great find - and definitely somewhere you will want to go again and again and again.”

“I've visited Christopher's about 5 times now and the main draw for me is the consistency of food and service. The brunch menu is fairly priced (unless you overdo the cocktails!) and offers comfort food for 'mornings after', as well as healthier options for a lighter meal. As a creature of habit, I generally go for the two course brunch as I struggle with three courses here. Something like blackened chicken breast, roast tomatoes and mash to start, then blueberry pancakes to finish. Service is friendly and attentive but not intrusive, and the cocktails are awesome. Try the apple snap (?) which has elderflower, muddled mint, apple juice and champagne. I wan't too popular drinking this in front of my pregnant partner but gave her a sip as it was too good to miss. We'll go back to Christopher's every few months for a delicious brunch as long as it maintains this high standard.”

“Brunch on a Sunday is fast becoming an established ritual for me and my family. The food is excellent and in relaxing surrondings is the best place to spend a Sunday afternoon. The bar is also an excellent place to meet friends on a Friday night if you want somewhere fancy but relaxing and their dinner menu is as good as the brunch. The tobacco onions are worth going for in themselves. I would recommend it to anyone.”

“‘Herbal Remedy’ Feeling fractious after our commute into the West End, and with a big shop ahead of us, the words ‘Martini Bar’ beckoned. A little pick-me-up perhaps? Could we? Why not? It was our 11th wedding anniversary after all. Not too mention, a good minute or two into the P.M. Passing through the majestic doorway was, in itself, a revivifying experience. My crusty commuter scales fell away, and by the time I’d perched down on the velvety cushions, of our plinth-like booth, I was feeling rather princessy. The view was fabulous. I’ve sampled a few. You could even call me a collector. But this little vista was quite unique. A line of traffic, black cabs and wobbly red buses, trudging passed the Lyceum Theatre, and all the way across Waterloo Bridge. All the hubbub, colour and chaos motioned passed us in ethereal silence, as we sat at the splendid sash window, perfectly cosseted and slightly aloft. To the menu. Wow. Huge. All the delights of the modern and the ancient worlds.”

“My partner and I have been a couple of times and also with our parents and each time found the atmosphere and staff relaxing, friendly and elegant. The cocktails listed at the bar are fantastic. Whilst upstairs the food is simply prepared and presented wonderfully, with real care. Christopher's is a great place where you can stop by for good, well prepared food and drink, and enjoy an evening in a relaxed, chic setting.”

“After enjoying a very good Sunday lunch at Christophers we decided to try an evening meal there to celibrate my sons' 22nd birthday. Overall we were very pleased with the experience. We started with cocktails in the downstairs bar and had an excellent table in the restaurant with plenty of space and a view over Waterloo Bridge. Service was friendly and efficient and all four of us enjoyed our food including my sons' girlfriend who is a vegetarian. The wine is fairly priced with a reasonable selection. The menu had a good selection but was not too large which demonstrates Christophers commitment to quality and not just quantity. However a broader vegetarian options on the menu might be helpful for groups like us with mixed dietary requirements. There is a good ambience in the place which is helped by its location and the building which has high ceilings and a large sweeping staircase up to the restaurant. This restaurant is spacious and stylish without being pretentious.”

“Excellent Restaurant. Food delicious, atmosphere fantastic and the service was great. All of these are essential for a great and memorable night out. I would highly recommend Christopher's for a special occasion and the cocktails in the bar downstairs are delicious so don't be surprised if you start in the bar and then finish in the bar after a delicious meal upstairs.”

“It's a real find! The Martini bar is cool with an amazing range of different martinis on offer. Then we went upstairs for a pre-theatre dinner and it was so much better than we expected! The service was great - not too fussy but really attentive. The menu was varied - even the set menu - and the food was top quality and beautifully presented. We're definitely going back!!”

“Superb restaurant in Covent Garden serving the most delicious contemporary American food in beautiful surroundings. You go up a candlelit sweeping stone spiral staircase to enter the restaurant, it's all so romantic and elegant without being pretentious or snooty. Staff are warm and friendly, efficient, attentive and knowledgeable. The food is incredibly good, particularly the steak, and there's a funky cocktail bar downstairs too.”

“Absolutely loved eating here. Wonderful atmosphere, great food and amazing cocktails. The pre-theatre menu is excellent with a surprisingly low price tag (about £15 per person) and it was nice not to have to pay extra for a steak. Service was good; unfortunately didn't get to sample the champagne bar but it looked very exciting. Will definitely eat there again.”

“Went here with my father for Sunday brunch prior to a gallery visit and were pleasantly surprised. “Christopher's is just beautiful inside, from the understated trendiness of the bar, up the candle-lit winding staircase and into the elegant dining room. The great decor and friendly service is matched by simple but quality dishes. We had the pre-theatre menu which is good value for money with 2 courses for about £15. I had salmon fishcakes with creamed potatoes and it was delicious and filling, followed by a superb baked cheesecake. The cocktails are also delicious and the wine list offers some very good bottles. I've dined here twice now and will definitely be returning!”
