Champagne Bar at the Grand Connaught Rooms Description

The Champagne Bar at The Grand Connaught Rooms has a contemporary look and feel with opulent décor and guests are spoilt for choice between classic champagne cocktails or a glass of non-vintage straight up. But even for a glass straight up, there's another choice to be made, drinking from a traditional glass flute or stylish champagne tankard.

Great Queen Street, where The Grand Connaught Rooms is located, dates back to 1658. A street famous for its prominent residents, as much as its notable architecture, is rich in history and boasts a range of businesses as well as being home to one of the

most awe inspiring structures in London.

The building itself, was originally part of the Freemasons' Hall specifically designed for the Freemasons to hold their meetings and dinners in one central location. In 1908 the building was divided and the dining rooms were named The Connaught Rooms after the first Duke of Connaught who was the Grand Master of the Freemasons. The rooms later came under new management, were refurbished and renamed The Grand Connaught Rooms to become one of the oldest purpose built conference and banqueting venues in London.
