Best for: Cocktails served by talented waiters.

Great: Cosmos sipped whilst listening and dancing to a bit of 80s/90s music.

I am energetic and open to the Covent Garden evening vibe tonight. “I Want to Dance With Somebody,” or even by myself, as long as I have a good cocktail in hand.

The lion’s roar coming from the nearby Lyceum Theatre is perfect with my mood and I feel like everything shall pass: “Hakuna Matata”!

I love Covent Garden and I love the fact that from the theatres and the shops you can jump into a night of “Gin & Juice”.

The bar is already effervescent, the blue paint outside “Rubs You The Right Way” and is in tune with the dark alluring interiors. It’s almost traditional British in style.

A fantastic cocktail welcomes me: a Freshen Up Whitney, which sends me “Upside Down” from the start: Champagne is always in “Vogue”.

The bar area is like a stage, with a line of eclectic and handsome bartenders ready to make you “Get Up (Before The Night Is Over)”. They smile and wink and dance and shake any type of beverage to “Swing The Mood”.

I eye a mojito, with loads of “Ice Ice Baby”, but first I’m offered a shot of Jagermeister. This is the bartenders’ entertainment ritual: they rise the glass to their customers as if to say “This Is It”, don’t go anywhere else, the show is about to start. “I Believe I Can Fly” already at this point.

Tuesday is the best night, so I am told, but I’m sure “We Can’t Go Wrong”, even tonight. I’m dancing, singing, chatting and chilling to the sound of familiar music. People are friendly more than ever. It’s like a “Ray of Light” onto the streets of London tonight.

Mojiito, pina colada, cosmopolitan, martini; it’s a “Celebration” for cocktail lovers; the list is huge and the 2-4-1 offers shout “Baby, One More Time”.

I “Don’t Stop Believing” as the guys at the bar climb on the countertop and start singing to “Pump Up The Jam” for their crowd. This is a new millennium, and a male version of the Coyote Ugly Saloon, and I am really enjoying it.

People of every style are out and I feel like there’s definitely something special “In The Air Tonight”.

Looking around, everybody is “Free Fallin’” in the fun. Step outside and the scene extends itself onto the street, where, for a “Cool Change”, people take their cocktails out into the fresh air.

I am well into the night now, “Don’t Know Much” anymore, only that I am kind of a “Special Lady”!

Eventually I walk away to catch my “Downtown Train” and the only thing I know is that I will be back and the “Second Time Around” I will try even more cocktails and maybe even attempt to sing a song with the staff, as long as I can remember them. more

“This is a great bar to have a lot of fun and drink very well shakered cocktails.”

“I agree with the other reviews, this used to be a fun bar for a cocktail and great service. Unfortunately it's become a bit too successful and so the good service and drinks that made it great have been replaced by passive-aggressive bar staff who'd rather dick around and laugh at you than serve you. The new staff have lost the charm and enjoy making you feel like an outsider. Avoid at all costs, unless you enjoy being insulted.”

“What can i say?? This is one of the most welcoming bars i've been to in my whole life.... I initially drank in this establishment about 2 years ago and the cocktails were what i expected for the money and the staff were very down to earth... I myself as an East Londoner returned today with 3 of my friends from the same area... I can only speak for myself... i found the clientele friendly... which i can only presume as the regular crowd.... the drinks were amazing.... and i mean truly amazing, i'm not a seasoned cocktail drinker but i can handle my consumption... you can tell that by my stomach.... but the icing on the cake to this venue is truly the friendly bar staff, the customer service skills displayed are honestly second to none... in some venues in London a dj is employed to set the mood but at Be at One in Covent Garden the bar staff excel and i mean absolutely make yu feel at ease like a great barber does in a friendly hairdressers... the team they have behind the bar are truly professional and know how to look after these bar staff... and i think they are headed by a fella called martin....”

“Me and my friend went there recently for a quick drink and end up staying all night. The music is awesome (anything from 60' up till now). They have a great deal on happy hour. Selection of more then 150 cocktails and they are all 2-4-1. But i have to say the customer service is 5 stars. The staff is friendly and happy and it is great to see that someone actually enjoys working. Highly recomended. I can't say one bad thing about it. Definitely will be back.”

“Good location, great cocktails, but entirely too loud. My friends and I left as soon as the drink specials were finished because we were tired of shouting at each other.”

“On the contrary, i absolutely loved this pub. The music only seems loud because it's so small. I've been there a few times now and it has become our girls night out local. The bar staff are super friendly, the service is exceptional (bartenders serving up to 3 people with large order at once and never getting a drink wrong!), not too mention the quality of the cocktails - superb i tell ya and the music is what puts it all together perfectly playing everything old and new. Loud ... i think not ... fuddy duddy ... i think so :)”

“Has the potential to be a really great bar if only the staff would listen to their customers! I have been to this place a few times... and you can't knock the music or the drinks (love their Platinum Margarita's!)... BUT... for god's sake turn the music down. It's not that we're being fuddy duddy's but every time I have been here we have all left after a few hours having been unable to have a conversation and getting extremely hoarse from shouting. Even the bar men can't hear the orders most of the time. This place could rock - it's a shame it shouts so loudly...”
