The Brewers Inn Review

Top 10 things to know about Brewers Inn:

1) Dealing with food comas is a serious matter and thankfully, this is a subject taken with careful consideration by the team at The Brewers Inn pub in Wandsworth. Apart from having a British food-focused gastropub, they have boutique bedrooms upstairs for those in need of treatment from the condition.

2) The pub’s location, although close to places like Chelsea, Richmond and Wimbledon, isn't particularly central, so you do wonder if most people retire to their hotel bedrooms after a particularly heavy Sunday brunch.

3) With well-polished wooden furniture, homely lighting and rustic bookshelves, the restaurant feels like a home away from home; hence you do find diners taking their time to enjoy the food and beverages rather than having a grab-and-go dining experience.

4) Cheese is the answer to everything. Your kids not eating broccoli? Mix it with some Kentish blue cheese and puree it into delicious soup, just like the dish on their menu.

5) If you make sure the cheese is British, then even more diners will be flocking in to support you. The hearty roasted aubergine with lemon thyme and Rosary Ash goats cheese rolls is one of the best sellers at The Brewers Inn.

6) Their eclectic wine list includes a light, fruity La La Land pinot noir and no, it's not from LA, but rather Victoria in Australia.

7) They make the dirtiest looking burger taste like a saint with healthy doses of sweet potato, quinoa, spring onion patty, garlic mayo and pickled red onion. Although there was a less salubrious portion of undoubtedly triple-cooked fries on the side.

8) When you see words like baked WHOLE black bream, then warning bells should start ringing if you suffer from cartilogenophobia; as there are plenty of bones to dispose of before you can reward yourself with all the fish meat.

9) Desserts can't be ignored here when you have something as quintessentially English as apple crumble on their menu; but their version is even better than standard pub fare as it uses Bramley apples which give the dish a tart, tangy taste along with subtle, refined taste of kirsch cherries.

10) It takes someone with considerable restraint to avoid ordering 3-courses along with plenty of sides here when there are so many great British options to choose from at The Brewers Inn.

"Décoration pas terrible à part la terrace sur la Tamise. Repas cher et sorti de table en ayant encore fin. Il y a beaucoup mieux à Hammersmith comme pub." Which venue is this?
