The Lock Dining Bar and Restaurant Description

Owned by Chef Adebola Adeshina and manager Fabrizio Russo, The Lock Dining Bar at last brings justification for a trip to Tottenham! The restaurant itself is open and spacious, pine flooring and works of local artists and photographers adorning the walls. Just off the main dining area a small lounge bar, complete with chocolate leather sofas, leads on to the open plan kitchen which is the focal point of the room.

Opened in late March 2006, word is already spreading of the wonderful creations emerging from Ade’s kitchen. Ade has plied his trade in some of London’s finest eateries including Restaurant

Gordon Ramsay, The Capital, The Square, Bonds and Petrus and the skills that he has learnt from working alongside such culinary luminaries as Philip Howard, Eric Chavot, Tom Ilic and Ramsay himself are evident at The Lock Dining Bar.

Fabrizio has worked in several 5 Star hotels in London and he brings with him this standard of service but without the pomp and ceremony leading the front of house with an enthusiasm and professionalism that is shared amongst his small team. Fabrizio is the expert when it comes to selecting from the excellent value and compact wine list that reflects his Italian heritage but also contains some New World gems.

The modern British menu conveys Ade and Fabrizio’s ethos of “Quality & Freshness” and, due to a heavy reliance on seasonal produce, the à la carte menu changes frequently and specials appear at lunchtime on a daily basis. All the breads are freshly prepared on the premises and Ade also takes pride in the fact that all the butchering of meat and filleting of fish is also done on site ensuring the maximum potential is gained from his produce. Most products used in the making of all menus are sourced locally, with meat, fish and vegetables both in Walthamstow market and surrounding north east areas.

“Visited this restaurant a number of times and each time have been more disappointed than the last. The menu offers little variety and the dishes are pricey. The staff show little interest in their clientele and they are often not open past 9pm - which is in stark contrast to their advertised opening times. Would not recommend this restaurant at all.”
