“Food one hour late and when it arrived it was cold, the roast pork was all fat and when it was exchanged the meal was cold, they had problems in the kitchen but this was no excuse for such a poor meal. All the waiting staff seemed very temporary and no one seemed to care apart from the manager who kept calling me Dear! We won't be going back ! They should look at The Cock in Hemmingford to see how a bar/restaurant should be run.”

“The Castle is the sort of pub that my boyfriend and Uncle go to on a Sunday afternoon for a good few pints and to watch the footy. The pub has a good reputation for sports coverage, good beer and a good meal for a Sunday lunch. I found it less attractive for women purely because this is a man's pub, has it's usual regulars and a strong Irish following! If you don't like smoky atmospheres I would also give this one a miss!”
