Neighbourhood Review

Top 10 things you need to know about Neighbourhood bar and restaurant:

1) A beer shop that is also a restaurant. Yes, you heard right. Who knew such a thing existed? Well, not this girl.

2) Neighbourhood in East Village, close to the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre, knows how to bring the fun-loving night owls to the quiet Olympic Village. It’s cold and foggy and you mightn’t want to be outside, so come inside.

3) Neighbourhood have board games for those awkward first dates that sound like a good idea on Tinder at 3am on a Thursday. If this is your scenario and you’re already bored, grab Jenga and a beer or cider (from a choice of more than 20). Top suggestion: the Czech Republic’s greatest beer offering, Krusovice! Unpasturised and off the chain. Neighbourhood has the first tank in the UK to serve Krusovice. Mmm. Yes. This is how to kick things off correctly.

4) Neighbourhood have such a vast collection of unique beers that they show them off with beer tasting/pairing workshops.

5) For food, the mac and cheese starter is gooey, slightly lacking in salt, but not a bad way. Also order the BBQ pork hash: sweet, flavoursome, saucy pork with sweet potato. The evening is going well.

6) If you can’t bag a good board game before the table of loud people high-fiving their drunken antics, just down another beer. Fat Yak is different from most beers. Yeasty but still one to try.

7) By now you should notice the massive growler on the wall. It’s not just cool to look at; it’s fascinating to know that right now, top-notch beer is being made for you. Show off to your date by stating a well-known beer fact with a sprinkle of something extra and they’ll be eating from the palm of your hand.

8) After that, you and your company can revel in the light, flavourful and guilt-free shrimp burger or throw care out the window and together wolf down a china plate covered in ribs and chicken.

9) After all that, you won’t care about board games or even remember each other’s name.

10) The beer has made you warm and the food has filled all the holes. There’s only one more thing to do: take some beers home. Neighbourhood also operates as an off licence so take this party elsewhere.

“It would be higher if the staff stopped overcharging me by giving me a pound less than they say the change should be and, the beer heads are massive. Your Gross Profits must be amazing. It's a pint of liquid, not 30% froff ”

Loved

"My Gulascheintopf war perfekt and so was the Weissbier. I was in Kingston Steins. I do have a few suggestions for decor and table. 1. you need a little jar of toothpicks on the table to get meat out from..." Which venue is this?
