The Riverfront is featured in these Guides:
This bar, restaurant and cafe on the South Bank is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as all-day drinks. Comprising of one huge space split between the restaurant/cafe and the bar, both with alfresco eating and drinking (deck chairs and picnic tables), The Riverfront is a great spot for culture vultures to hang out and be inspired. It is one of the best bars and restaurants in London for classic people watching as there is a steady stream of Londoners and tourists alike making their way back and forth between the nearby London Eye, Westminster & Big Ben, the National Theatre, the Hayward
On the drinks menu you’ll find a decent variety of wines, lagers and British ales. The food menu is classically British - such as fish & chips, cottage pie and a pint of sausage rolls - plus a few international dishes to add variety. The seasonal ingredients are mainly sourced locally.

“This is a little slice of east London's cool Shoreditch district transplanted to south London's South Bank. Everyone hanging out in this bar last night looked like they could live in Dalston: the girls were all beautiful, dressed is floral pattern dresses, thick rimmed glasses, often sporting a funky haircut; the chaps all had facial hair, top button done up, and thick rimmed glasses. A very cool bunch indeed. Most likely because (a) it's part of the British Film Institute's building so feeds into that culture vulture vibe, and (b) because it is right on the South Bank under one of the many bridges. A tres cool spot if ever there was one. Most people were drinking wine or beers (the Palm Amber Ale was rather tasty). I haven't eaten here yet but will make sure to do so very soon. My only gripe: the price. 3 pints for £15!! Ouch. Still, it's worth it. My new favourite bar.”
