The O Bar Description

Book a table at The O Bar

The O Bar has been a Soho landmark for over 10 years and due to it's central location has become one of the most popular meeting places for friends, colleagues and romantic dates in Soho. Situated on the corner of Brewer and Wardour Street, The O Bar is bang in the heart of London's vibrant Soho.

The O Bar has a wide appeal and attracts a fun, eclectic and a good-looking crowd. The staff are famous for their friendliness and hospitality - they always make you feel very welcome.

Join them for Happy Hour every day from 4 till 8 pm. Their cocktails are legendary and the prices are some of

the most competitive in Soho.

The O Bar is on three levels and comprises of a main bar area on the ground floor (115 capacity), a basement bar (180 capacity), and the private function room (43 capacity) upstairs (both rooms available for private hire). The total capacity of the venue is 338.

The basement bar is very spacious. There are two intimate alcoves that can each sit about 20 people. All the walls are mirrored which gives the impression of more space.

As you walk though the entrance into the ground floor bar you are instantly struck by the high ceilings and the large windows which open onto Wardour and Brewer Streets. Banquettes line the walls and there are plenty of tables and chairs where you can sit down and enjoy your cocktails.

A large wrought-iron spiral staircase leads you up to the main function room. The room is light, spacious and comfortable with plenty of seating. There are several sofas in front of a large fireplace giving the space a very cosy and homely feel.

“Generally filled with tourists, or in the week office drinkers. The O bar rewards with a late license, reasonably priced drinks and a general good vibe. Downstairs used to have a cellar with what can only be described as an intimate dancing venue.(This may still open but on the last couple of Thursdays I went it was shut). The top floor houses a small room much akin to a lounge with small bar and chilled out tunes. Its also free to get in before 10pm so you can drink right on through till 2am. Overall a nice little venue in Soho for relaxed drinking.”

“The O bar, if you are hoping for a relaxed evening with friends or a lively night on the dance floor then the O bar is not for you. However, if you enjoy being patronised by rude bouncers (who ID a women who was 25) squashed against sleazy men on the dance floor, sitting on seats that haven't been cleaned since the last person was sick on them, queuing outside practically on the pavement where someone’s handbag was nicked, using toilets which are small and the attendants unfriendly. Still if all this sounds good go ahead and book a party, but if you plan on enjoying your party or night out then don't go! ”

“Waste of space, time and money. Don't go!”

“ A cramped and fusty venue filled with miserable hippy types wondering how they've come to pay three quid to get in, and fat women showing too much arse cleavage. Of course, then there’s the ham-fisted bouncers that moronically aggravate situations and mistreat women - I saw a girl being pulled out by her hair! This is, without a doubt, the worst pub in London.”
