“I went to Lucky Voice karaoke last weekend with a gaggle of girls. We had a brilliant time. Great tunes, great wigs and great drinks ... great fun.
The only draw back was a couple of members of staff who should not have been put in customer facing roles. Passive aggressive tones from the front of house were really inappropriate considering the silliness of the singing.
Well worth a visit despite this.”

“I love lucky voice. Went there last week and had the most uplifting birthday party. Never have I seen a venue with such good looking staff - I couldn't pull my girlfriend away from the bartender! (not that I was trying hard- I was too busy chatting up the Chinese beauty looking after us). Service was helpful and not obtrussive as everyone else suggests - pricey? I suppose, but its in the west end and you get used to it. Its super cool that there are loads of songs, new and classic, for everyone to scream to. I will definitely be comnig back, but maybe early week when its cheaper. Keep rocking lucky voice!”

“I can't believe all the good reviews for Lucky Voice, we were not so 'lucky' for my birthday 'treat'. Arrived for a pre-drink at 5:30pm and was told by an irrate receptionist that the place only opened at 6pm and she promptly slammed the door in our face (by the way its below 'Yo Sushi' but they don't tell you that piece of useful info when booking or on their website). Ate in the aforementioned sushi bar so were late at 6:15 for our 6-8pm slot. Ordered drinks from our booth, some were forgotton about. Booked for 8 people but there were only 6 of us - yet the booth only sat 6 anyway. And here's the best bit: We were in the middle of the last song on the dot of 8pm when we were told to clear off or book another hour. I told them we were late getting there and could we at least finish the song but hey NO - even though nobody else was waiting. I went to pay and they tried to charge me until my friend came running up waving the receipt because she had paid on the quiet. They would have charge us twice otherwise. Weird seedy place and unhelpful staff. Who needs to pay to meet the Gestapo! No way are we going back (and one of our party is a west end musical star!). Interesting concept if the right people were running it. I can't believe Martha Lane Fox is an investor.”

“First the bad... Lucky Voice is a total rip-off. The booths are vastly overpriced as are the drinks. My friend brought a bottle of champagne to the room as it was her birthday, someone obviously spotted this on the CCTV and alerted a bouncer. The bouncer was extremely rude, charged a ten pounds 'corkage' fee and then confiscated the bottle!
A two hour session for two people on a Saturday with a bottle of wine will come in at over 100 pounds. Go for dinner at the Ritz intead, cheaper, better food and far more polite.
Also the karaoke machines do not allow you to alter the pitch of the song. Even a cheap karaoke machine from Argos will allow you to do this. Also there is often annoying electronic background singing which gets in the way.
The good...er? The seats are quite comfortable I suppose.
I suggest the owners take a trip to Tokyo to experience quality service and reasonable pricing at karaoke bars. Karaoke should be a fun, relaxing experience with unintrusive service. Lucky Voice is more like a money pit where your every move is monitored by the paranoid staff.
Avoid like the plague unles someone else is picking up the bill.”

“We had a great time whenever we were trying to ignore the facts that staff were unfriendly and the place is ridiculously expensive - and they charged us £70 more than they confirmed on the phone (the mon-wed price for a friday booking) unless you're up for spending £300+ for two hours and are happy to put up with slow service don't go there

“Went to Lucky Voice with a load of work colleagues and had so much fun! You have to be up for a laugh or you won't enjoy it as it's up to you to make your own atmosphere. We could have stayed all night but it was fully booked so after our time was up we grudgingly left. For 10 people you need about 2 hours if most of the people in your group are extroverts. Didn't have any food but the drinks were good and service was really quick in the booths but ultra slow at the bar. Will definitely be going back.”

“A few work colleagues and I visited this place on recommendation and we had a fantastic night. Its very different to a normal Karaoke you don't have to wait around listening to other people, you dont have the embarrassment of a room full of strangers and the surroundings are futuristic and atmospheric. Of course the service will be a little slow there are so many rooms and most people ordering cocktails you have to cut the staff some slack. We had a very fantastic enjoyable evening and were even thinking about staying for a third hour! Will definetly be visiting again!!”

“The place was over priced and service seemed very slow. There was no atmosphere to speak of and we were ready to leave after the first hour.”

“Went to Lucky Voice Karaoke last friday and had a fantastic night. I was alittle cautious as it was my first karaoke experience but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Great service and beautiful decor it didn't take us long to ask for another hour! Will definately be going again.”

“It's a bit cheeky to say this is the first private karaoke bar. The mighty (but albeit slightly dodgy) K-Box on Frith Street has been providing us with the opportunity to exercise our vocal chords for years. I do, however, look forward to visiting the Lucky Voice checking out what looks to be a very nice looking venue!”
