With the capacity to seat around 80 diners, the restaurant serves the signature British cuisine that Mark Hix is renowned for. The exquisite dishes on the menu include Grilled Orkney Lobster with garlic butter and chips, Roe Deer Chop with celeriac mash, and Aberdeenshire Porterhouse Steak for two to share. Meanwhile, Mark's Bar in the basement offers a more informal, clubby vibe and serves smaller British dishes for you to enjoy.

“Today's Times Weekend Supplement gives a recipe for Bloody Mary attributed to Mark Hix, but 150 ml of vodka to make a pitcher for 6? Surely the proportions of the ingredients are wrong! Please mail me the correct recipe. Many thanks and a happy New Year (I have eaten twice in Hix at Lyme Regis, but not this one. I had to give star ratings to submit . . .”

Serving the best quality British Seasonal food, the menu at HIX offers a mixture of meat and fish dishes with a vegetarian menu also available. A pre and post theatre menu and weekend set menu is available for £15.50 for two courses and £19.50 for three courses.

John, John & Tom Collins A popular drink called gin-sling takes its name from John Collins, formerly a celebrated waiter in Limmer's old house. £ 9.50
Guy's Punch We do not know who Guy is but her certainly knew a good drink. Brandy and pineapple infused El Dorado Rum judiciously mixed with spiced syrup lemon juice, lemon sherbet and green tea. £ 8.50
Punch a la Regent This drink is said to have been held in high esteem by the Prince Regent of the time, George IV, who is largely remembered by his extravagant lifestyle and excesses. £ 10.50
