“Congratulations to all at the brickyard on my 3rd visit! Its very nice to see a west end venue style in Romford, fantastic decor, food excellent, service very attentive and professional, excellent cocktails, food specials explained to detail as well as the rest of the menu, smiley waiters and waitresses. Very good entertainment from Paul junior on the sax and the bongos. Well done, it was about time that Romford had such a venue like this, without any rif raf custom”

“belated treat for Valentines day, no doubt the refurb is very classy, however, i feel the ponced up decor and waiter service did not hide the fact that the food was not worth the high prices being charged. I had the duck which was tasteless, the soup of the day ran out by 8pm, and my husbands choice of desert was also not available. It is very unclear of how you actually get into the building and we saw several people trying to get in the wrong doors! The singer was not very goood either, he was very loud and at times out of tune. Overall i would not pass other restaurants in the area which are much more reasonably priced to go back to the Brickyard.”

“I have eaten at the brickyard several times, both on the weekend evenings and also on the great value sunday lunch deal. I have always found the staff great and the food excellent. The food is pricey, but my motto is you get what you pay for...! The place is always busy at weekends which is a testement to its popularity...I can't wait for my next trip down there!!”

“What a terrible place for a night out!! Absolutely packed, no room to move and you feel like your in an episode of 'This is Essex'. Expect to queue for 30minutes for the toilet...4 toilets for a venue that size is a joke! The music is terrible, no atmosphere and its full of people with an attitude problem....if your thinking about going for a night out...stay clear!!”

“A very disappointing evening and would definately not return to this establishment. Once seated in the restaurant it was extremely difficult to hear anyone speak due to the high volume of club music blaring out from downstairs. Whilst we realised this was a restaurant/club you do expect to eat your meal with a separate atmosphere. The meals are extremely overpriced! The toilet facilities are bad and waiting for 30 minutes to go to the toilet was not my idea of an enjoyable evening, in fact on two occassions several of our meals were served while members of our party including the birthday girl were queuing for the toilets! My friend and I complained to the manager who was not at all professional and said I quote" what do you want me to do about it" Unfortunately the whole evening was ruined by the lack of management, facilities, overcrowding, service and unprofessionalism. When your paying those prices you expect the level of service and facilities to be much higher.”

“Meal mediocre and not that good quality for the price and also the drinks expensive. I have now been to this establishment twice the first time on a Sunday evening which I have to say was fine. Unfortunately we visited last Friday and they had trouble in their club downstairs and the only access out of the Brickyard is through the restaurant/bar. A guy who was causing trouble was lead through the restaurant by a violent bouncer. Maybe they should consider another exit out of the club or failing that be a bit more selective in who they let in the venue. We spent a lot of money that evening as you can imagine with the meal and drinks so didn't expect such a situation to arise. I found the way the situation was handled very unprofessional.”

“arrived and was greeted well, got a drink at the bar then they sat us at the table, the waiter then took the empty beers and my drink that i;d only just started drinking ,said he would get me another but charged on the bill, my friend drink the glass has a crack half way down the glass said sorry and got her another and that was put on the bill too.the steaks got mixed up the garlic butter was on the wrong steak and not cooked how we wanted ,the dessert was terrible as not what i asked for, also got charged for when i never touched it . at the end of the evening , i thought i would ckeck the bill, and a total of £35. was on the bill for things we had;nt even had , 1 extra meal was on it ,and the drinks that he said would not be charged for were put on it , please if you do go here i wouldnt again , check the bill befor you pay . also we had a total of 4 different waiters serving us . not very profesional.”

“I had previously gone to Georgios several times, the previous restaurant which could be hit and miss. This venue holds sentimental values to me as I had my first date with my husband here and that was the same night we decided to get married. We went in to The Brickyard on our 18 month wedding anniversary in October. We had not booked and there were four in our party. Luckily we were fitted in without too much of a wait at the bar. The choice and quality of wines was fantastic, so much so we drank 5 bottles. The menu was different to what we expected but even with 2 picky eaters in the group we easily chose our meals. the meal itself was cooked to perfection and for the first time out in a very long time I was not disappointed with the quality. The service was consistent, friendly and helpful. A staff member even recognised us from before. the music and atmosphere was great but it did get alot louder around 10pm which is good if you do not want to talk to your dinner guests. I have since returned more times and each time it has got better. I especially love the live bongo and sax players at the weekend. If you want a lively night without having to go in to romford then the weekends at Brickyard are perfect, there is a club downstairs to which diners get priority. The surroundings are beautiful, the finish is amazing, there is nothing else like it locally.”

“I had a great time at the Brickyard Bar and Grill. We had a meal, cocktails at the bar and went down to the Cellar bar. We had starters, mains and dessert, and our food was very good indeed. We had fresh seafood from the Oyster bar for starters then the special Lamb Shank for mains and it was very tasty, just fell off the bone. The home made cheese cake for dessert was amazing!!! Our waitress was very good with plenty of knowledge about the food and wines. She was very friendly and she made our experience very enjoyable. After desserts and coffee, she recommended cocktails and shots. We had shots then she managed to find us a table in the bar area where we had cocktails made by the lovely tall dark haired bartender. After about 5 cocktails, all recommended and lovely we went down to the Cellar bar till 1.30am, danced on 80's style flashing dance floor to the Motown and funky house tunes. Over all we had a very enjoyable evening and will be going back again, very soon. Have told many of our friends about it and they will all be visiting too.”

“My experience in the Brickyard was really great!! I was on a first date. The service was excellent we had a really wonderful meal and time. From the moment we stepped foot in the premises we were greeted by a friendly host and hostess. The host let us have a drink at the bar first before he sat us down at our table. The bartender made us a lovely royal mojito. It was a saturday night and it was really busy and the music was approriate to the embiance. We ordered the best steaks and our special duck starters was fantastic. And we were checked back by the manager who is really helpful and professional. The server of our table was professional and she tended to our needs she sounded like a liverpudlian. Afterwards we stayed for the live music the sax player was fantastic!! Overall its a wonderful evening and i will be coming back and will be recommending this restaurant to my clients!!”

“First when I phoned for a reservation I spoke to a women that sounded very unprofessional, with only a small amount of information provided. I decided to take a chance anyway and booked a table for Saturday night for my husband and myself. We were greeted by a very smiley man that took us straight to our table, the place was packed and the noisiest place I have ever been, we could not have a conversation due to the noise from the bar. We sat at our table for about 10 minutes before the waiter came to our table to ask what we'd like to eat, we hadn't even ordered a drink at this time, but ordered our meals along with our drinks. The meal I originally order had sold out, the waiter kindly pointed to the women that had had the last of the pork, who in turn looked slightly embarrassed! Another 10 minutes before our drinks arrived. The meals took so long we actually considered cancelling, going home and watching X Factor! The meals come, we both ordered steak with garlic and butter sauce, i asked for my steak to be well done, but I'm sure it had a pulse! the sauce was peppercorn, but the waiter had disappeared so couldn't get it rectified. We called over a waiter and just asked for the bill, again he went missing so we left the cash and the restaurant!! Would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning!!!”
