Top 10 things you need to know about The Bingham Riverhouse:
1) While there is certainly an abundance of places to eat in Richmond, there are few that are on a par with the Bingham Riverhouse. This is a riverside restaurant for which you’ll want to get dressed up in your finest gear.
2) Just a short walk away from the centre of Richmond, you’ll find this unimposing yet elegant building next to the river Thames that houses a hotel, restaurant and bar.
3) [At the time of writing] It’s not been long since the Bingham Riverhouse was fully renovated. Take a right after the reception and you’ll find a stunning cocktail bar, or venture straight ahead to a dining room that’s lined with classic books and intriguing artworks.
4) If you decide to visit on a balmy day or evening, you could have the absolute joy of sitting outside - which is when the Bingham Riverhouse really comes into its own. Not only do the terrace tables have views across the river Thames, they also overlook a spectacularly landscaped garden below.
5) Considering the views, we would go so far as to say that this wouldn’t be a bad place for a significant anniversary, or even a romantic proposal.
6) The menu is filled with simple and imaginative British food. Whether you prefer meat, fish, vegetarian or vegan, there’s plenty on offer - from a sensational courgette risotto topped with crispy rice, to sea bream with clams and Jersey royals.
7) As you can imagine for a place of this standard, a meal for two with a glass of wine doesn’t come cheap. But they’ve simplified things by offering set-price two or three course options. We definitely recommend three.
8) When it comes to drinks, it may take you a while to choose a libation as the list is so vast. Unusually, for a British restaurant, they have a good choice of Portuguese wines, including the renowned Quinta Da Leda.
9) If you don’t fancy a bottle of vino, there’s also a fine selection of cocktails, perfectly made by one of the very experienced bartenders, as well as a wide choice of beers and spirits.
10) While it may not be somewhere you visit often, we think a trip to the Bingham Riverhouse will be an experience to remember for all the right reasons. It’s not just a place to have a meal, it’s somewhere to while away a whole evening with someone special and one of the best views in London. ...read more

“This is a real classy bar. Very stylish decor which would aid a romantic night with it's views of the river and fire in winter. This is a great place to go for a quiet drink, or relax before a meal in the excellent restaurant, but too subdued to go for drinks with friends. It is also fairly expensive - as always with this sort of atmosphere.”
