“The best chill out bar in London south of the river. The staff are very pleasant, willing and pleased to serve. The wine, beer and food is more than decent. Yes this is the place to be.”

“My wife and I go to The Old Dispensary frequently, sometimes for a drink but mostly for a meal too. We have never been disappointed, and are frequently delighted. The lager is always much better chilled than other places, the wines a delight - even the quality of house white is way above the usual - and the food is always superb. On top of that the decor and atmosphere never fail to impress. Here is a stylish and atmospheric little Italianate-styled bar brasserie that is consistently better than many equivalent West End establishments, yet is very reasonably priced. And no, I am not being paid to say this, and I am not related to the owner. Just try it, and judge for yourselves.”

“Me and a couple of friends have been to the Old Dispensary a few times now and have always had a great time. The decor is great (check out the chandelier!), and the selection of berrs good too. It's nice to see quite a mixed crowd in there. I haven't eaten there, but last week we were sat next to a couple who were eating some of the most delicious looking food I have seen in a while. This might not be the cheapest place in the area, but it's by far the best. It's set to become our regular haunt. Well worth a visit.”

“This bar is a gem. A group of us went there for lunch. The food was very inexpensive and absolutely divine. The wine list was equally as good and the staff were great. Fabulous interior with the funkiest chandelier I have seen in a long time. All in all a great discovery in Camberwell and well worth a vist.”

“This eponymous pub / resatuarant is a new addition to the burgeoning gastropub scene in Camberwell and probably the least remarkable. We arrived on Friday night and undeterred by an absence of customers, ordered from the impressive looking menu. My companion ordered the burger which was exceptional, I ordered from the 'specials' blackboard and ordered the Fish Meze followed by Gammon and Poached Egg. The fish Meze arrived first - curly smoked salmon with a spoonful of watery pre-frozen prawns and the first time I have ever seen taramasolata and feta cheese on the same plate. The main course was just as poor. Sinewy gammon with a hard boiled poached egg. Leaving both plates untouched I refused to make excuses to the waitress and the cook marched over to our table. I politely aired my grievances and was angrily informed the 'prawns were defrosted this morning', that the tara was out of a carton but from 'the olive company' and my favourite , they hard boil the poached eggs for 'health and safety reasons'. Go for a drink, go for a burger but only if everwhere else is closed. ”

Loved

"My Gulascheintopf war perfekt and so was the Weissbier. I was in Kingston Steins. I do have a few suggestions for decor and table. 1. you need a little jar of toothpicks on the table to get meat out from..." Which venue is this?

Hated

"I visited browns alone after work and got convinced to spend an hour in the “VIP” room with Jennifer - which is just a corner of the private dance area - no privacy at all. I essentially paid £500 for..." Which venue is this?
