“Horrible experience last night proving the bar staff and manager don't have a clue what they are doing. Group of girls cornered by 3 aggressive drunks: the manager came to tell them to leave but then left us on our own dealing with it! One of them threatened to smash his pint glass on my friend's head so one customer had to intervene. Completely irresponsible behaviour from the bar manager. A real disgrace!”

“The manager has earnt her managerial skills from a box of weetbix. Argumentative, socially inept and clearly not suited to working in the customer service industry the manager clearly needs swift retraining. Luckily the food is of good quality and the majority of staff are very friendly. A good pub with a great atmosphere.”

“Wednesday 3rd June 7.45pm. Great pub which we love to wind down in and enjoy the quiz. Pity about some of the special needs barstaff. Inept and badly trained its a wonder how they printed their name on the application form. A real 'I couldn't give a f*ck attitude". Great shame from an otherwise great bar.”

“A really nice pub spoiled by the regular habit of serving short beer measures. There was a rather aggressive barman there on Tuesday evening, May 12, 2009 who told two customers that the glasses were oversized. Indeed they were, but the liquid fell far short of the line and he eventually topped them up with exceedingly bad grace. I've complained to the pubco, M&B on two separate occasions about short measures, things improve for a while, then slip back. Try 'The Churchill' in nearby Kensington Church Road for a (cheaper) full pint and really friendly staff.”

“One of my fave pubs! for me and my buddies... like the fire place and the outdoors bit. Great in the summer, but beware my friends, friend got her bag stolen there. Be vigilent :)”

“In theory, good place to have a drink and a laugh. but the service is appalling - regularly wait 5-10 minutes. Staff appear to have been told its good to let 'em wait. Have decided not to go there by choice, which is a shame.”

“Great pub. Always busy, but never too long a wait at the bar. Generally helpful and pleasant staff, great if random music at a decent level, very sweet garden out the back. Great atmosphere. ”
