Mulberry Street Description
In New York, pizza is more than food. Only in New York is it common for pedestrians to duck into long, narrow, dingy storefronts and emerge with a slice of pizza, then stride down the street eating in rhythm with the city, the wide slice folded up so its hot gooey toppings go into the mouth and not over the clothes.
So what makes 'Mulberry Street' pizza so like a NY pizza? A thin crust, 202, straightforward great tasting pizza. It takes a month to learn how to hand stretch and hand toss this 20 ounce dough, which the Mulberry Street team make fresh daily on site with water which has been tested,
Getting the water right might seem going overboard - but the team behind 'Mulberry Street' believe that if it's not wholly authentic, they're just another pizzeria.
This isn't a gimmick, it's New York Pizza. People can come in, grab a seat at the bar, have a slice and a Brooklyn lager, read the daily New York Post, watch North American sports on the big screens and be on their way.
Still those coming to the area looking for Notting Hill glamour won't be disappointed - 'Mulberry Street' also offers the Beluga King [Caviar pizza], and for those mourning the loss of Fresh and Wild to Kensington - the Skinny Bitch - a specially made low carb pizza.
With a fast, intoxicating atmosphere, open galley kitchen and one hundred seats over two floors with booths that can seat up to sixteen people Mulberry Street is perfect for family meals and parties too.

“Mulberry is Dowdy! It's softy and grubby... It's a family place, in fact the waitresses are no oil painting :).. The pizza is not bad but there are better pizzeria's around... nothing special!!”

“Save your money and the aggrevation. The pizza isn't bad, but the consistently poor service topped itself with my last experience. I ordered a pizza which arrived after 1.5 hours (45 minutes of which the delivery boy was lost). Once it arrived, the pizza was not only cold but mangled beyond belief (apparently he jumped the fence rather than calling up to be let in). When I rang, the manger of the shop refused to credit my card, so I emailed the owner, who just forwarded my mail to the same unhelpful manager. I stopped by two days later and they still refused me a refund, even after agreeing that I never received an edible pizza. She said she would take care of it, but never did. The pizza is barely worth the £15 on a good day, but it was a lot to spend on nothing at all. Check out Rosso Pomodoro (or even Pizza Express) if you want a little business sense with your food.”
