Gaucho Piccadilly is featured in these Guides:

The flagship location of the Argentine restaurant group, best known for their premium wet-aged beef straight from the Pampas and the most extensive Argentine wine list outside of the Latin American country is hidden away on Swallow Street.

Spread across three floors, the outside terrace and light-filled bar area on the ground floor is perfect for an early evening cocktail before heading up to the restaurant areas upstairs. Tucked away on the third floor is a secluded roof terrace, protected from the elements throughout the entire year.

Centrally located, Gaucho Piccadilly is glamorous, slick and impressive: perfect for any occasion.

“As a younger female working in the city, I was worried that Gaucho would be too macho for me. I was pleasantly suprised, it is sexy, sophistocated and a great place to be taken on a date. I cant remember recieving such friendly and attentive service and the Ceviche and Steaks were beautiful”

“Considering my boyfriend has to be one of the world's greatest carnivores, I decided to treat him to a birthday surprise at the Gaucho Piccadilly. I'd heard great things about the quality on offer so had high hopes for a top notch feast that would impress even the pickiest steak connoisseur! Not only was the food exceptional, (even I managed to make light work of my beautifully tender 'Bife de Ancho', aka rib eye) the atmosphere had a cool and hip New York buzz mainly attributing to the dark moody lighting and cow hide seating. As Gaucho is also known for the wine choice on offer I was keen to impress the boy by suggesting a different wine at each course. Sensing my budgetary constraints, our friendly waiter let us split each glass of wine, erring on the side of generous with the pouring. I appreciated his way of making us feel welcome in a restaurant clearly usually frequented by the well-heeled! The fact that it was a Monday night and every table was full is only testament to the popularity of this restaurant and bar. We decided to skip pudding from the menu and instead check out the newly opened adjoining Freggo which sells a multiple of delicious ice-cream flavours, most of which unique to South America. We both had a different version of the dulche de leche - utterly delicious, giving the perfect end to a special and memorable evening. I can only hope he'll return the favour!”

“I was part of a party of 14 that dined at the Picadilly Gaucho recently and whilst I have always found Gaucho in Richmond to be first class I was very disappointed with the Piccadilly restaurant. We had a shared menu and the portions were very small compared to Richmond, chicken came out undercooked and pink on the inside - 20 minutes later with the rest of the mains completed out came more chicken - black! Desserts followed but again portions very small. Ended up having a dispute with the management as we were not happy with the bill of £48 each plus drinks for a poor meal. What added to the displeasure was the inordinant amount of time we had to wait for our food - we were seated at about 10.15 and mains arrived at 11.45.... Overall would not recommend this venue for larger parties and based on personal experience if you want to pay £48 a head and leave the restaurant full and happy then head for Richmond!”
