“just recently the atmosphere at the camel has soured. Although the bar staff are still as brilliant as usual the security seem to have a real chip on their shoulder. I certainly won't be returning in a hurry after the head boucer (as he delighted in informing us) was rude, boulshy and completely out of order for no apparent reason. Shame because I've always had a good time there, but it is no longer the friendly welcoming place it used to be.”

“Went there on Friday night and was surprised by the quality of service as it's just off Oxford Street and usually you wait for ages to be served. Great staff who know what they're doing....I even left a tip. DJ was great aswell and played requests and party music. Great atmosphere and great drinks. Will def head back soon.”

“Went there for dinner on a saturday night and found the food to be amazing. The staff were friendly, and there knowedge of their products led me and my group to stay for the Dj. We stumbled out of there at the end of the night after one to many Mojhitos. Strange as we did not plan on staying. Will be back next bank holiday for their beach party. ”

“I recently went to The Camel @ Mayfair for a Xmas party, having never been there before, but i will definatly be back there on a regular basis. The staff were so friendly, (good looking) definatley know how to provide proper customer service and man do these guys know how to pump out quality cocktails ( £3 @ happy hour you can't go wrong) It has the perfect party atmosphere in the basement. The Dj rock'd!
On my way out, had a glance at the new food menu, which i'll be back to try...made my mouth water just looking at it.”

“We were approx 15 guests attending a birthday party yesterday in the basement. The dancefloor is very spacious and the DJ''s selection of music was very good (allround). However the glasscollector had a mission to continously collect half full drinks and it more than once looked like we were in his way. The bouncers also had their fair level of attitide, in the way they were bringing their messages across.”

“After hearing great reviews about the Camel we were expecting a trendy London nightspot - little did we know that this obviously didn''t apply to Saturday nights. Decent music is a must when you go out, but the DJ was absolutely shocking. Not just the way the DJ played the records but the records themselves. I am sure that there will be many people that will disagree with me regarding the Halloween party, but I can only sumise that this adds up to their lack of knowledge of what a good night truly consists of.”

“went there on a saturday night after reading a review on this web site.
they take bookings 8pm and before so if you really want a table, make sure you get there early as there isnt many tables.
upstairs is a bar and food service, downstairs is a dancefloor.
food is ok(dont order chicken wings as there are fresh ones mixed with not so fresh and pizza base was quite tough)but stick to chips although they did tell me that they are going to have a proper chef cooking for them very soon.
if cocktails is your thing then this place is second to none, prices are standard west end but the quality is exceptional with very knowledgable barmen who have 1000 different recipes in their heads(along with a tom cruise style throwing the bottles about thing)if you dont want anything on their menu.
doormen were also very friendly as were the rest of the staff making it an altogether great place to go.
