Top 10 things to know about Reform Social & Grill:
1) Based in the Mandeville Hotel in Marylebone, Reform Social and Grill is pretty much on the doorstep of all the major tourist attractions in London. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it couldn’t be more conveniently located.
2) The restaurant embodies a sense of “old school” hospitality that many of the new restaurants in London seem to have lost. When walking in to the restaurant, you’re greeted warmly and this stays throughout the meal.
3) Lover of Yorkshire puddings? You’ve come to the right place! Opt to enjoy these Northern delights for starters or dessert, with a selection of three savoury or sweet Yorkshire puddings for £8. Starter-wise, choose from melt-in-your-mouth salt beef with horseradish, hot smoked salmon and cream cheese, or Tunsworth cheese with truffle oil. Each pudding is light, fluffy and full of yummy filling.
4) Whilst the bar at the Mandeville deserves a solo mention, restaurant guests can also sample a cocktail or two at their table. The knowledgeable bartenders can recommend anything from a classic whiskey sour to an unusual apple martini.
5) The restaurant is incredibly comfortable; the sort of place where you’d be happy to while away the hours with a bottle of wine and delicious food. Settle yourself in to the leather booths and prepare to unwind for the evening.
6) The warm atmosphere and service means that whilst the restaurant is a great place to take a date, your family or even a colleague, you wouldn’t be out of place if you chose to dine alone.
7) The restaurant is known for its grill classics – try their famous Reform Angus beef burger or herb-crusted lamb rump, all served with the signature smoky flavour you only get from a grill.
8) The restaurant also caters well for vegetarians, with various choices in starters and mains. Try a crumbly caramelised red onion and goat’s cheese tart, followed by a vegetable and lentil cottage pie.
9) Looking for a classic afternoon tea? The restaurant also serves up an extensive range of teas alongside a selection of sweet and savoury treats. Bring your grandparents, or just bring yourself - smiles all round.
10) Although there is a lot to be said for hotel restaurants, when visiting the Reform Social and Grill, you would be forgiven for forgetting that it isn’t a standalone restaurant....read more
