The Old Thameside Inn Description
Book a table at The Old Thameside Inn
You will find The Old Thameside Inn in London Bridge within a short stroll of Clink Street, Borough Market and Winchester Walk - however you won't find another like it.
Step in to discover a traditional pub of unique character, revered for its eclectic range of real ales and its heartily classic pub food, which are served, as they should be, with a generous measure of famous British hospitality.
History oozes from the great beams and ancient brickwork of the Old Thameside Inn, once an old spice warehouse. Behind the pub are the remains of Winchester Palace, which once belonged to Cardinal Wolsey. The cobbled road behind the pub has associations with the original Clink prison and next to the pub is a full scale replica of Sir Francis Drake's famous ship - the Golden Hind.

“Good range of ales., bar food specialising in sausage & mash, with a variety of diffrent sausages - Cumberland, Lincolnshire, wild boar & apple etc. ranging from £6.95 to £7.95. Good value for central London. Excellent views across London Bridge with wharfside outside tables inviting in good weather.
One poor mark: Gents loos - one of 3 urinals leaking, uric acid smell not under control, and the soap container missing from the wall.”

“I've visited this pub on 3 occasions and each has been disappointing with the latest showing the staff to be so rude and unhelpful. I called in with 3 friends for Sunday lunch. Starters are advertised on the menu, but I was told in no uncertain terms that it was impossible for the kitchen to deliver starters and main course separately (despite their menu claiming that they aim to deliver a first class service!). I asked to speak to the manager about what seemed like a ludicrous situation and he had more attitude than the staff.
The good thing about the location of this pub is that there are many better places within a 5 minute walk.
I highly recommend you try somewhere else for a much more pleasant dining experience.”
