Little Bay Review

Book a table at Little Bay

The original Little Bay which opened just over 15 years ago, is a discreet gem hidden away between Kilburn and West Hampstead. The Little Bay is made up of tiny booths and gallery tables, likened to the inside of a boat, where guests can relax, get intimate and dine.

A patchwork of Egyptian décor and prints of fine are displayed throughout the venue. A 3-course meal before 7pm costs as little as £8.95, with the wine list ranging from £9.90 - £12 for a bottle. The specials menu chalked up on the inside boards deserve a good look. Favourites include ‘Garlic Mushrooms’ and ‘Baked Red Peppers’ for starters. Recommended main courses such as ‘Breast of Duck, Steamed Pak Choi, Ginger and Honey Sauce’ and ‘Roast Lamb with potatoes and Vegetables’ romance the stomach. The dishes were well presented and tasted as delicious as they looked.

The desert list includes a range of equally tempting cakes and ice creams, as well as liqueur coffees. A calypso coffee is a perfect way to finish a meal inside this restaurant, which serves high quality, inexpensive modern European and Mediterranean cuisine to large both a large number of visitors and committed locals.

The staffs are friendly and polite, consistently providing an excellent service over several visits. Even when the Little Bay is bursting at the seams, enjoyment for the taste buds without being rushed is key here. The Little Bay is part of a small independent chain with branches located in Wandsworth, Battersea, Croydon and the City of London.

Hated

"Dreadful pub, run by people who have zero idea about hospitality or running a pub. Upon arrival we sat in the back garden that only had one other table occupied , when we tried to order off the lunch menu..." Which venue is this?
