Pizzicotto Review
Top 10 things you need to know about Pizzicotto:
1) You decide to treat your significant other to a night out for no reason other than love. Clever you. 10 points. What to do? Take them to the same place? No. Take them on a lovely evening stroll and see where you end up? Yes. Another 10 points.
2) You stray down Kensington High Street. Your loved one begins to ask questions. They’re hungry. You spy Pizzicotto, inviting, available tables and wine. “This way darling”.
3) Pizzicotto is ideal. Rustic, authentic pizza oven, small tree, full bar and relaxed people eating all manner of carbs.
4) Once you’ve offered your date a chair - go you; 10 points - peruse the menu. Flirt. Order the butternut squash muffin in fondue for them, scallops for yourself. Pick a wine. Pour their glass first.
5) As starters arrive, compliment your surroundings, and their outfit, in the setting sun. Raise a glass. Drink. Eat. The scallops are heaven! Pillows gifted from the sea, they sit in a cheesy blanket on peppery rocket. Look across the table at the delighted face devouring the airy muffin. They’re happy. 10 points. Who knew a vegetable muffin could taste better than a sweet version? You did, apparently.
6) Discuss the unique charcoal pizza base and order it with personalized toppings: tomato, gorgonzola, mozzarella, Italian sausage and potato (a bit of everything). Help them make up their mind but playfully tease their simple choice of a tomato-based charcoal pizza with asparagus, sausage and cheese.
7) Chat about the weather, holidays, work, home, everything. Hold hands across the table. Nobody’s looking and you don’t care anyway. The night is going so well.
8) The pizza arrives, you’re famished. It looks and tastes magnificent. Each flavour: flawless. The base: bravo! You’ve made the right choice, and so has your S.O. You both get 10 points for choosing some of the best pizza in London.
9) Pizza devoured you ask if they'd like something sweet. You’re both in agreement: you opt for cherry gelato; your S.O, the tiramisu. Feed them a spoonful of yours and steal some of theirs. They won't mind.
10) After dessert, you pay the bill. Even with your three courses, it won't break any banks. Always handy. You discuss what to do next. Well, there’s always one thing for it....read more
