Maggie Jones's Description

Maggie Jones's is featured in these Guides:

With its walls adorned with buckets filled with flowers, Maggie Jones’s looks a bit like your loving but senile grandmother was allowed to decorate. Named after Princess Margaret, who used to book there under the alias "Maggie Jones", the restaurant’s cosy and country themed atmosphere has welcomed patrons for forty years. Sister of French restaurant La Poule au Pot, Maggie Jones’s breathes home. Known in the Kensington area, the decadent menu is awash with delicious traditional dishes such as rack of lamb, stuffed roast chicken and hearty meat pies and homely desserts including apple crumble and bread and butter pudding.

“One of the best kept secrets in town. Superb game and meat dishes at medium to expensive prices in a very romantic setting on three floors. When booking, the tables upstairs by the window are best. You can sit and feel smug watching tragic members of the ignorati eating in the Cafe Rouge opposite.”

"We really enjoyed the Jamboree Club when we visited to listen (and dance to) the wonderful Dom Pipkin and the Ikos. Wonderful night - great people there too. But so sad to hear that the Club may not..." Which venue is this?
