“Top quality Gastro-pub! The menu is created daily (there's a big chalkboard), the food is excellently prepared by the kitchen that is just off the dining room and the restaurant area is smallish with a great atmosphere. Beer is pricey (hoegaarden and leffe amongst other fine offerings) and the wine list is pretty good too.
Eating there is an expereience - you can't book, so you have to get to the pub for about 6ish on a popular day (friday / saturday) to reserve a table. 've noticed that when you get your food, a few drinkers in the bar will wander over to the edge of the restaurant area and look at your dinner with very jealous eyes! There is alledgedly a second sitting in the evenings...
If you like the Stonemasons Arms in Hammersmith, give this place a whirl! It's along the same lines, but more personal and cosy.”
