Hop Poles Review

The Hop Poles is pretty much the best place in Hammersmith to watch the footie as there's a big screen and loads of smaller telly's spread around the spacious pub. The only bar that could maybe rival it is The George opposite the tube station.

Although there is outside seating, it's not much to write home about. A small patio out the back, up what looks like a fire escape, overlooking, well nothing other than the goods entrance to Marks & Spencer. Still, it's somewhere you can appreciate that clear, healthy London air.

Hop Poles is an alright pub to come to if you live locally, but if you've made a special effort in coming to Hammersmith, there're some far nicer pubs down on the river.

“This is largely regarded as the worst pub in Hammersmith. That's not true. I visited it and must conclude that this is possibly the worst pub in the entire of London. The bar staff are ignorant and slow, do not know about the events advertised in their own pub and the clientelle is the worst mix of aged alcoholics and youngsters for whom drinking is the reason not the adjunct to a night out. If your idea of a good night out is to be served terrible beer by surly staff while wondering if a fight is going to kick off any second then this is the place. It lacks any vestige of hospitality. Quite quite shocking.”

"I visited browns alone after work and got convinced to spend an hour in the “VIP” room with Jennifer - which is just a corner of the private dance area - no privacy at all. I essentially paid £500 for..." Which venue is this?
