The Coach & Horses Description

A secluded hide-away from the bustle of Greenwich Market: The Coach and Horses is an atmospheric local venue. There is always a warm and friendly welcome Restaurant quality food at Pub prices.

Perfect for a relaxing break from shopping; while allowing you to stay in the midst of everything on the edge of the main market place.

The interior has been gently and respectfully modernised from its modest 18th century beginnings as stabling for horses brought to market.

The large sofas, open fireplace, romantic uplighters and fresh flowers create a calming and sophisticated atmosphere, while

the excellent gastro pub menu and wide selection of beers and wines will tempt you to linger on as the market closes.

Outside, we offer an enclosed heated seating area under the main awning of the Market. Here you can sip your beer at picnic style benches and watch the goings on of the stallholders and shoppers. Children are welcome here, accompanied by an adult, all night and can come inside until 7pm.

The Coach is available for party bookings and offers a bespoke service for tables of six or more .The head chef and Management will liaise with you to create the perfect evening for you and your guests.

The seasonal food menu changes daily and all of the items are cooked from scratch. by the chefs, on the premises. There is a large range of Ales, Beers and Lagers alongside a great value for money wine list.

The head chef trained in Michelin fine dining in: Paris, Venice, New York and Chichester (The real Garden of England) and his food influences include Robbie Small of the Anglesey Arms, Viv Casson of the eponymous Casson's and Rory Lumsden of Tompkins.
