Top 10 things you need to know about Aquum:
1) This trendy South London cocktail bar and club in Clapham starts off as a relaxed restaurant early in the week, transforms into a buzzing late-night venue a few days later, and turns into a playground for grownups on weekend afternoons – all with a taste of the Mediterranean.
2) Drop by with friends on a quieter Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday for a laid-back meal in the main bar, featuring rich Mediterranean dishes inspired by the roots of the Greek Head Chef.
3) Order some fresh breads, spreads and meze, all made on site, and get sharing! From the super soft, slow-cooked pork belly, to the ravioli in a rich tomato sauce and buttery side of mash potatoes, each dish is full of bold flavours and textures to mix and match. The menu suggests three meze per person but two, with a side or salad, is plenty if you want to leave room for dessert.
4) Stick to the lower-priced (but still delicious!) menu items, and thanks to the sharing element, you can quite easily get a substantial and varied meal for less than £20 per person.
5) Come along on a Thursday for a livelier evening. Start the night with sharing menus and unlimited wine options in the first-floor restaurant, before the live band gets the party going downstairs.
6) And if Thursday is the new Friday, dance the night away well into the early hours as a DJ takes over from the band.
7) Dress up and get down to Aquum on a Friday or Saturday for one of their popular club nights of chart hits, RnB and commercial house music.
8) Sip on a cocktail from the extensive list as you mingle with the crowd. Experiment with an original take on a classic mix, including Greek Islands-inspired cocktails, or try one of their innovative fruity, fresh and floral creations.
9) Roll in on a Saturday or Sunday for some daytime fun and games as you brunch with friends. Sample breakfast staples with a hint of the Mediterranean or Greek street food, before challenging each other to a game of Twister or Jenga – or jumping into the ball pit!
10) Throw in some free-flowing prosecco, a little singing and dancing, and this should make for an interesting afternoon!...read more

“Great place for food in the daytime/early eve! Lovely atmosphere, amazing decor - really swanky and something special on Clapham High Street.
Sadly there are not enough tables for food now that it's become cold - the outside area is pretty much done in now with the cold weather, and there are not enough proper tables to have food on inside, as they're usually reserved or booked up - sort it out Aquum!”

“Went there on Saturday night and the place was heaving! Had a really good time. Thought the music was different to what the rest of Clapham was playing (note the distinct lack of continuous funky house!) which is a nice change. Will be back for sure...”
