“I found the Cuban Bar on the Gourmet Society Card website and booked a table for my friends birthday. I specifically mentioned I had the card over the telephone at the time of booking but once I arrived and was seated they told me the management wouldn't accept the card. I did not stay to find out whether the food was nice or not but after reading other reviews I'm glad I didn't!”

“I spent a really lovely night in there last week. Tasty tapas, nice music and friendly staff... It's worth it!”

“Horrible - bad food, indifferent staff, ineffectual manager, over-priced. Highlights included: watching our drinks get warm as the waitress chatted to the barman for 20 minutes. When I went over and said "sorry to interrupt, but do you mind if I take our drinks to the table as you seem too busy?" she said sure, and carried on chatting (we were the only people in the restaurant). After waiting nearly an hour for our food, it arrived either stone cold or burnt (an achievement!!), and with added extras (an elastic band was the least offensive 'find'). The place itself was dirty and looked a bit run-down. I complained to their parent company and was offered a free meal to make up for the first one (which had been my hen night!!!) The second outing was even more disasterous than the first and I vowed never to set foot in there again. Avoid avoid adoid!”

“Perhaps our expectations were too high, but we found the portions on the tapas offer to be extremely small and of a relatively poor quality. The cocktails were nice, as was the £10 bottle of red. The one waitress covering the whole dining area did a sterling job, though the music was too loud and the atmosphere wasn't the best. I certainly wasn't feeling any Cuban vibes.”
