The Chancery Description

A bijou EC4 dining spot that attracts a chic city-centric crowd, The Chancery occupies a small corner site on Cursitor Street that has won rave reviews for its innovative menus. Intimate in size, the restaurant has three dining rooms, two on the ground floor and a smaller more intimate dining room on the lower ground floor all suited for private parties. Zak Jones and team leads the front of house and Executive chef Stephen Englefield oversees a creative kitchen and a seasonal menu which will impress the most spoiled gourmands. Perfect for cosy dinner parties The Chancery has a Manhattan-esque

appeal, and the slick interior and charismatic crowd add to the bonhomous vibe. Recently refurbished, The Chancery boasts art by the likes of Tess Jaray, Kenneth Martin, Michael Landy and Gary Walton to compliment the rooms.

“Restaurant was ok, tables a bit too close together but the food was great. The Chef, however, obviously suffers from some insecurities – our table of 7 had finished the basket of yummy olive bread provided (before we had even ordered) and requested more but it never came. After our third attempt the embarrassed waiter basically said the chef would not let us have any more bread (in not so many words). I think he was scared we wouldn't eat his tiny portions of food! Disappointing considering we were paying customers.”

"My Gulascheintopf war perfekt and so was the Weissbier. I was in Kingston Steins. I do have a few suggestions for decor and table. 1. you need a little jar of toothpicks on the table to get meat out from..." Which venue is this?

Hated

"I visited browns alone after work and got convinced to spend an hour in the “VIP” room with Jennifer - which is just a corner of the private dance area - no privacy at all. I essentially paid £500 for..." Which venue is this?
