Malcolm tragically drowned in January 2005 and it is now owned by his son Frank and managed in his interest by Malcolm's brother Alex and comedy performer Chris Luby.

“Things have perhaps gone down a bit with the business. There's no restaurant or hot food anymore, and the boat, its pontoon and general decor are soon going to be needing some serious money spent on them.”

“Don't be distracted by the slightly run down exterior of this old boat, many upmarket, trendy restaurants and gastro pubs could learn a lot from the people that run this lovely little eaterie. The service is sparky and friendly, the young waitress covering all five tables couldn't have been more welcoming and was bright and attentive. She dealt with a large, slightly bawdy family group with genuine cheerfulness and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food served by her Dad was top knotch, a superior beefsteak pie with crisp shortcrust on the bottom and suet crust on top was absolutely gorgeous. I've never had a pie this good. The roast pork stuffed with, proper old sage and onion with a little zing from lemon zest came with fantastic braised red cabbage and cruncy roasties. I was stuffed but my partner tried the apple and blackberry crumble and scoffed away whimpering with delight. This is cooking as it should be, unpretentious, beautifully cooked and served with a sense of fun and true egalitarianism.”

“What a delightful place! Great pub (if you're wondering what happened to the locals when the docks got quayed, they're in here), great setting and absolutely yummy Sunday lunch prepared by a charming host and chef x”

“This a little gem of a place. Simple bar with lots of nautical knick-knacks, juke box is a bit annoying but not too loud. The best reason for going there in the winter is for the incredible Sunday lunches. I've eaten in some great restaurants in the past but the stuffed roasted loin of pork with braised red cabbage is one of the best meals I've had in years. Huge portions, gallons of lovely winey gravy and crunchy roasties for 8 and a half quid. The steak and porter pie my mate ordered was also fantastic and arrived with a goblet of almost black marmitey gravy. The other remarkable thing about the cosy little upstairs restaurant was the music. We identified, Neil Young, Ryan Adams, Outkast and Nina Simone and loads of stuff that we didn't know. The very obliging chef was happy to let us scan through his iPod and choose tracks. What a gent. Can't praise Wibbley Wobbly enough.”

“Lovely, friendly little place with excellent food at the weekends. I had a butternut squash and chickpea stew that really stoked me up after a mornings cycling around docklands, my partner had a lovley smoked haddock chowder followed by a huge dish of apple & blackberry crumble. The floating pontoon moored on the side of the boat offers beautiful views down Greenland Dock and is a great place to while away a few hours on a sunny day. It really feels like you are out of the city until you turn around and see the huge buildings of Canary Wharf filling the skyline. Looks great lit up at night.”
