The Oakhill Description

The Oakhill sparkles along Beckenham’s Bromley Road. Wooden blinds on the large windows, dark steel light fittings and warm golden glow from the well-stocked spacious central bar. Oakhill has a landlady that values English pub tradition but doesn’t see why it shouldn’t be modernised if it can improve the ambience and result in better customer service. Fresh flowers on the bar top are a must, and in winter the three fireplaces are fired up day & night which makes having gorgeous Sunday Roasts there even more enjoyable.

An excellent selection of fine wines, guest beers, real ales and cocktails

accompanies all their home made food. If you’re a fan of sports, their large Sky-powered plasma screen features all major events, during the week they entertain customers with excellent Quiz & Music nights.

Undoubtedly one of the best features is Oakhill’s fantastic beer garden. Spread out behind the pub and easily accessed via the ‘Snug Saloon Bar’ area it overwhelms with an abundance of colourful flowers during early spring and summer. Wooden tables, parasols for shade and a little pond complete with goldfish and fountain. Enjoy a Sunday lunch or trademark BBQ.

“definitely the proverbial oasis in the beckenham decent pub desert. looks lovely, good layout of seating around the bar so even when its busy you can have some privacy. superb sunday roasts and sizeable 'oakhill-style' sandwiches keep bringing back customers for more every weekend. fireplaces give the rooms a welcoming warmth in winter but the real hit is their gorgeous back garden in late spring/early summer - what better way to enjoy your sunday lunch - or BBQ - than sharing a wooden table and a drink with your friends in the sun, surrounded by an abundance of colourful flowers and greenery listening to water slowly spilling from a fountain into their little pond? see you there.”

“Authentic pub with a contemporary twist. Warm, rich colours create a cosy feel with real log fires, the energetic, friendly staff have a recognisable passion for giving customers a great time. Informal, comfortable & releaxed surroundings, real food with style & substance, amazing beer garden out the back complete with BBQ area and fish pond. International lagers, bitters & cask ales.”

"My Gulascheintopf war perfekt and so was the Weissbier. I was in Kingston Steins. I do have a few suggestions for decor and table. 1. you need a little jar of toothpicks on the table to get meat out from..." Which venue is this?
