Wine & Bread Description
Managed and designed by Marcia and Kadir who both have years of hospitality experience in 5 star hotels and restaurants. This restaurant has always been their dream since they have been together. Every single corner in the restaurant has got its own story with a style.
Wine & Bread is a family run restaurant offering 3 concepts under one roof, Café, Restaurant and Lounge Bar. The dinner menu is quintessentially Portuguese also featuring authentically prepared Dish of the Day specials.
Moroccan style designed Lounge Bar is surprisingly discreet and full of quiet corners featuring 26 whiskies
The wine list is concise but varied, offering good value for money. With about 13 reds, 9 whites, rose, champagne and port wines. The wine list covers most of the major wine growing regions of the world.
The aim is to offer a great quality dining experience in relaxed, comfortable and informal surroundings. At the heart of what we want to achieve is value for money and quality…somewhere you can relax and have a wonderful time.

“Wine and Bread is a warm, family-run Portugese restaurant in Hendon, North London, with extremely reasonable prices. We have eaten there on several occasions and love the fact that the food is simple, honest and home-cooked. The atmosphere is warm and informal (but great for a romantic meal). Share a Cataplana De Ameijoas com Carne - a really tasty and hearty disk of clams with chorico, bacon, pork and potatoes. We also love the home-made desserts (we had a chocolate and coffee moose last time, which was fantastic).
But that is not where it ends. We noticed that the restaurant has a separate section at the back - a narrow but long section with beautiful decor and enough room to seat 20 diners. So I had my 30th birthday there! And it was fantastic! Kadir and Marcia did everything possible to help. They supplied a really tasty hot and cold mixed buffet. But they have also thought of the little touches that make special occasions special - such as having an MP3 player that takes memory sticks, so all you need to do is bring your favorite music on a USB stick and you're sorted. The same goes for a memory stick with photos on (Kadir helped us set up a slideshow on the large TV they have in the private area).
As you probably can tell, I can't praise Wine and Bread highly enough! Kadir and Marcia are just so friendly and welcoming, the food is simple, home-cooked and tasty and my birthday was a huge success because they took the time to discuss my every requirement with me.”

“A delightful family run Portuguese restaurant, Wine and Bread. Traditional Portuguese food, fantastic hospitality, excellent value for money. Be adventurous as you will not be disappointed. We booked the room at the back and had a party for 25 people with a buffet, music and pictures on a slide show. Highly recommended.”

“We have been there for dinner for 2 and for a birthday lunch at their special venue, morroco's style and every time we have been there, Marcia and Kadir made possible that we feel at home but with an amazing food from Portugal. The atmosphere is divine, their hospitality and service excellent and the food as well. Definitely for recommendation to all our friends.”

“Wine & Bread is a lovely restaurant to visit in any season of the year. This restaurant was made for you to relax and have a nice time. Friendly, family atmosphere gives you a real feel of positive feelings so you can just take all the stress of your shoulders, sit back and enjoy your meal or just a very nice glass of vine. I have always recived absolutely fantastic service and lovely dishes. I am gluten intolerant so it's not easy for me to find a place where they understand my diet. Wine & Bread has been always very helpful in choosing suitable menu for me which always created a big smile on my face. I love good food and nice people with a real heart and passion for what they are doing. If you like the same than you know where to go:)!”

Food
Mediterranean in flavour, Wine & Bread’s menu is typically Portuguese, recalling the best dishes enjoyed during those balmy summer’s evenings on the Algarve or in languid weekends in Lisbon. We are speicialised on seafood.
