“This pub has some of the best gastro food around Waterloo - just a shame you have to wait so long for the food to arrive! Is it worth it? Yes - just about..”

“Not good at all. Their policy of making everyone from a group stand at the bar (ordering drinks, canny) until you're all ready to sit down is insane. And the waiter who told me smugly that it's "their policy" was unbelievably rude. The wine was served without us being offered to taste it. When we complained that it was corked, we were given a patronising lecture to the effect that we perhaps weren't au fait with that type of wine. The cassoulet was uneatable, bony and fatty. The whole place exudes smugness, and they have very little to be smug about. Go elsewhere or prepare to be disappointed.”

“This is a place worth going out of your way to visit. The setting is unpreposesing and if you arrive early, as you need to, you may think you have the wrong pub. But persevere and your taste buds will thank you. I had read some really positive revues on the Anchor and Hope in Waterloo and knew that it was in the running for several soon to be announced rewards. I was not dissapointed. The crabmeat on toast starter was exquisite and the rack of lamb my companion and I had was so delicious, especially accompanied with mouth-watering kale and just right lentils. I finished with a rehubarb pudding that was heaven. The wines and fino sherry we slurped during our oh so wonderful meal were excellent value and for seventy pounds, we had no complaints at all. The friendly and efficient staff managed a full dinning room with total aplom. Take the effort to go, you will be well rewarded.”

"Hi guys, I come here with my friends and have very good time. I like your place very much and is very good times. I come back when I can soon. Thank you very much." Which venue is this?

Hated

"Dreadful pub, run by people who have zero idea about hospitality or running a pub. Upon arrival we sat in the back garden that only had one other table occupied , when we tried to order off the lunch menu..." Which venue is this?
