Approach Tavern Review
If you’re not a big fan of the polished wood/chrome effect that has taken over so many bars in London, take a stroll down the tree-lined road that leads you to The Approach Tavern, just a ten minute walk from Bethnal Green tube or Cambridge Heath DLR.
The décor is what you’d expect from a local: cosy and snug. The state of the seating won’t help you stay on your (probably broken) chair after a few jars, but there are more important things than luxury recliners. There’s a nice mix of people from students to suits, and children are allowed.
Prices in The Approach Tavern are pretty standard: from £2.50 for lager and bottles and £2.45 for wine. They’ve got a good selection of drinks, an array of real ales and a good variety of bottled beers and wines.

“This pub is awesome !
The food is absolutely gorgeous. The fish and chips are second to none, and stand up against well established restaurants with ease.
The beer, which is polish Strarobrno is quality stuff, and along with numerous real ales, the wine list is plentiful and good value.
All in all, a fantastic local boozer for regulars to be proud of.”

“Had lunch with colleagues at te Approach on 11/11/03. I had the Brunch while my colleagues had the steak and ale pie.
I can honestly say that this is the best pub meal I have ever had! (and I've had a few)”
