“This used to be a great pub you bother match visitors and locals alike, now it doesn't fit either category. The staff are nothing short of rude, the prices are eye watering, unfortunately the food isn't. I will be avoid this at all costs.”

“The good reviews on this site were posted several years ago before the pub changed management. Now it's badly run, with poor customer service and even worse customer relations.
The place is very overpriced for its location and the food is poor to fair. I would not call it the great experience it once was as its lost all character.”

“I wish everywhere I've ever lived had a lovely pub like this. From a service point of view, it was like stepping back in time, the staff were so welcoming. And when it comes to homemade, there aren't many pubs that REALLY make it themselves but I reckon these guys do. It all tasted very fresh and the sunday roast was one of the best pub roasts I've had in ages. Lovely. Thanks guys.”

“Since new management have gone into the pub, it has transformed for the better. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious and great value for money, and there is a good selection of wines to go with it. Definatly recommend this as a place for all.”

“The Highbury Barn used to be a traditional-type pub, which, in the past served it's purpose, particularly on Arsenal home match days.
Now though, it's had a makeover; all low-slung sofas, pastel shades and a new menu.
I was a bit sceptical but was won over instantly by the friendly service (both on match and non-match days), and the food is great.
There's the usual pub-type fare but they also do a neat line in wood-fired oven pizzas, which are delicious, and prices are good - around £5 for a 12" pizza. On Monday nights there's do a two-for-one pizza offer, which is naturally very popular.
Clientele-wise, it's a broad mix; not the trendiest spot around, but a good place to while away a chilled-out evening.
Possibly, the only quibble I'd have is the mediocre beer selection, but the Guinness was great and it's somewhere where you can definitely just couch out and linger.
The Barn has a big screen for football, and over the years has proved to be a hit with Arsenal fans, with Highbury just 10 minutes walk away.
With draught beer coming in at £2.40/£2.60, that's decent for London, so I'll be back.
