Kings Cross
Bar / Restaurant

Kings Cross - Hidden in a courtyard just minutes from Kings Cross station, Camino is the area's best kept secret. The Spanish style venue allows for all guests to get a Latin fix, be it from the excellent food and drinks, the impressive wine list or the toe tapping beats. Playing everything from Beatnik Funk, spicy Samba and Arabic to Dub, futuristic Bossa Nova and Electro Boogaloo, the music reflects Camino's lively vibe. The bar is great for whiling away the hours and dream of sunnier climes.

Image of Barrio Shoredich

Bar / Restaurant / Club

Formerly known as Barrio East, this colourful, lively and vibrant bar and club on Shoreditch High Street provides a whole evening of delights. Arrive early for the buttermilk-marinated Mexican fried chicken popcorn bar snacks before moving onto the beef barbacoa tacos, cactus quesadillas or the pastor-marinated, grilled rack of ribs. Then get stuck into the rum, tequila and cachaca cocktails (look out for the Amigo Hour until 8pm during which cocktails are super cheap). And finally, get dancing. Social Samba is on the events calendar every Monday, whilst on Wednesday it's time for funk and soul. Friday is the big one: tropical soul, disco, old school and party anthems.

Image of Last Nights of Havana

Bar / Restaurant

Although not the easiest place to find, this Cuban bar and restaurant in Tobacco Dock is one of the busiest, liveliest Latin bars you'll find in London. There is non-stop music all night long either from the Latin-inspired DJs, or the live band that plays son cubano hits. There are experts dancers on hand to provide impromptu salsa classes on the dancefloor so get ready to get those hips swaying and the feet twirling. The range of rum-based cocktails would make even the most harden sailor wince; but the concise range of enormous grilled sandwiches served with sweet potatoes or cassava chips should keep the staggers at bay. Be warned, if you are not a fan of Latin music, stay at home!
