If you find yourself walking through the West End on a Sunday, wondering what to do or where to eat, might we suggest you head to the Trafalgar Square end of the Haymarket (the long road that leads from Piccadilly Circus down to Trafalgar) and check out Mint Leaf Restaurant's sumptuous Sunday bottomless brunch.

This sleek and sexy basement restaurant and cocktail bar may not be your obvious choice for a sunny Sunday afternoon, but it really is worth stepping away from the rays for a short while (and anyway, don't they say you should rest from the sun during its strongest hours?).

So, what's the deal? Well, head down the impressive staircase into Mint Leaf's beautiful reception and you'll be greeted by the friendly team who will take you to your table. It's all dark, sleek and sexy at Mint Leaf with comfy armchair seating and a super relaxed vibe. Choose from their non-alcoholic bottomless brunch menu (offering the likes of creamy mango Lassi or a variety of soft drinks) or the alcohol induced bottomless with a choice of Prosecco, Bellini's, Blood Mary's, red or white wine or Cobra beer. Once you've chosen your drinks they arrive swiftly – you have one and a half hours to knock back as much as you can from the time you arrive!

And onto the food! You certainly won't go hungry at Mint Leaf Restaurant's Bottomless Brunch that's for sure. The first course arrives almost too beautifully presented to eat but at the same time too damn tasty not to. It consists of the most delicious potato cakes and a triangular wheat crisp filled with puffed rice and topped with a tamarind and mint chutney. The dish is massive but save some space for the following four courses. Up next is a stellar plate of paneer tikka and tandoori broccoli floret topped with cheese, ginger and chilli that is truly sensational and has just the right kick to it. The third course gets serious with a trio of tasty treats that include an amazing chicken supreme with chilli and lemon, lamb kebab with mint chutney and salmon fillet with Kasundi mustard and carom seeds. The fourth course is the only point during brunch where you have some choice and highly recommended is the Kerala fish curry - a creamy, mild fish curry filled with flavour and the freshest fillets of tilapia fish, served with fluffy white rice or fresh naan bread as well as a spicy dahl makhana. If you're feeling full at this point (and don't forget the staff are consistently topping up your glass at the same time) you might just feel you can't make it to the fifth course. However, once your dessert is delivered to your table any feeling that you can eat no more soon disappears. Indulge in a trio of sweet delights that include a mango and passion fruit cheesecake, a gulab jamun dripping in sugar syrup and a glorious star anise and dark chocolate mousse.
