Starting on Monday 7th May and lasting until the closing ceremony on Sunday 13th May, the 6th annual London Burlesque Festival is this year adding an extra twist to the schedule: 100 of the world's top performers and dancers will competing in the World Burlesque Games. Monetary prizes, endorsements and boasting rights as ‘Champion' are all up for grabs.

Over 400 classic strip tease dancers, sexy circus artists, erotic cabaret performers, and novelty acts applied to be part of the World Burlesque Games 2012, which is being held at Bush Hall bar & club in Shepherd's Bush, Madame Jojo's club in Soho, Royal Vauxhall Tavern pub in Vauxhall, and Floridita restaurant in Soho.

The final shortlist of entries will bring tastefully risqué entertainment and glamour to the stages of London, competing for the titles of Triple Crown (which fuses the worlds of dance and hidden talents), Twisted Crown (with its shocking performance art approach), best British and International Male, best British and International Female (spread over two shows as there are so many exciting dancers!!), and best British and International Newcomer.

Legendary producer and proclaimed 'Burlesque King' Chaz Royal said: "The World Burlesque Games 2012 is without doubt the world's greatest festival and competition of international burlesque talent and the biggest and most spectacular event of its kind. After 5 years of producing London Burlesque Festival, it only made sense for us to run a week long competition."

Fluid London's pick of the events is the exclusive VIP Opening Gala at Madame Jojo's club in Soho on May 7th which includes the sensuously seductive Betty D'Light (a member of the league of extraordinary boobs) and the sexy slapstick of Ginger Blush, the erstwhile winner of the London Burlesque Festival Best Newcomer Award and performer of one the best burlesque routines in London.
