“Quite honestly it's like it has been transported from a different planet into one of the grimmest bits of Streatham. This pub has been totally renovated back to it's Victorian splendour, not in a tacky themed way, just authentic, elegant and welcoming. The staff to are friendly, chatty and actually pleased that you've found them. The food is freshly made in an open kitchen, a modest sized menu ensures all efforts are concentrated on making every dish the very best it can be. It's not cheap but for the quality, its great value. The beers are well kept including interesting guest ales and a REAL wine list. It simply gives me hope for Streatham, a wonderful, wonderful bar.”

“I'm not too much of a bar man, but a friend of mine invited me to a party there. I was blown away. The music is good. The drinks are chic and the ambiance is one of a kind, especially if you can get VIP. I really enjoyed the place. My cares just seemed to melt away, you know with one of their stress reliever drink creations. London sky bar just spells cool. The music is lively and the place is just so relaxing that you never want to leave. It's an awe-inspiring wonderland designed to keep you comfortable.”

“Altitude 360 is one of the greatest places that I've ever been to. I frequently travel back and forth between the US and London and I always have to stop in to have the breakfast at Altitude 360. The view is spectacular. Not only that - the service is excellent. I recommend the bread and butter pudding with chocolate sauce and their selection of desserts. Altitude is an amazing place, not to mention, they have a big plasma screen that they show images of London on. Sweet, I say.”

Hi Sushi, West End (Restaurant)
“The decor at this small cosy sushi restaurant is mostly wooden, and there is a water/fish feature near the front door. The menu is quite large, which can be off putting (I'd rather see less options personally) and I would avoid any hot dishes if I were you. I wasn't overly impressed by the yaki soba. There are better restaurants on the street.”

Pulse, Borough & Southwark (Bar / Club)
“Challenging sound acoustic issues here, 3 rooms - The Central room throughout is overpowered by music from the other rooms. You might expect this at the edge of a room but not in the middle and throughout. Great staff and venue however let down by sound issues. The venue would probably be better operating in a 2 roomed format to help address this.”

“I went to Layalina Saturday the 8th of October. I had never experienced lebanese cuisine before and that was a great premiere. The staff was very friendly and attentive to my allergies. They made everything perfect. The food was just perfect. The waiter advised me to get a cold and hot mezze selection to share with my partner at least we could try a bit everything. That was so lovely. While we then had our main, a nice sea bass each (which I ate all although I had no room left), a belly dancer made her entrance into the room asking some hen party girls to dance with her. I enjoyed as much as the Hen lady. That's an unusual way of having a meal, but I loved it. The baklawa were wonderful as well. We ended our meal with some fresh mint tea and I would definitely go there again.”

“No price lists for drinks. Flat beer at crazy prices. No athmosphere at all. Glass door that does not stay closed. Staff eating their lunch at the bar counter. Out of stock of all sandwiches on day we were there, although we probably would not have been able to afford them anyway. For a micro brewery they did not have atheir own beer brewed yet. No toilet facilities either.”

Suchard Thai Restaurant, London Bridge & Bermondsey (Restaurant)
“No sooner had the waitress taken our order than the food was delivered to our table (less than 2 minutes). Upon tasting both dishes, we realised the food was not hot. We attempted to get the attention of the waitress and several other members of staff, who seemed more concerned about stopping trick or treaters from entering the restaurant, than attending to us. When they finally came over, several minutes later, they refused to accept our complaint. They said the food had been sitting there for a while, to which we responded we had been trying to get their attention for some time and had not eaten any, other than 1 bite to discover it had not been cooked to an appropriate temperature. We asked for fresh dishes to be provided, knowing that re-heated rice is one of the most common causes of food poisoning, but they refused. Upon standing up to leave, without haven eaten, the waitress said in a raised voice, "stop complaining our food is hot". Outrageous!”
