Went to the Grand Union with some friends on Friday Nov. 3rd, and we had a blast! Not only were the cocktails superb and extremely reasonably priced (mixed by two very very cute blokes, 1 American I think,... More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“Had a few drinks in The Gallery the other night with mates from work and had a great time - music was fab and good food. Bit packed but added to the vibe. Good place to go mid week: glass of wine, jazz and candles in winter. Go have fun (nice ladies too!)”

The Noble, Finsbury Park (Bar / Restaurant)
“Well it is about time there is somewhere decent to eat in the area. It is now called the Noble. Yet another business has come and gone from this building. Me and my girl friend went in for a drink on a friday night and could not resist to order some of the food. I had a dumpling of prawn that was wrapped in sweet potato and served on a seaweed salt and my girl friend the quail on a wild mushroom risotto which were both fantastic. To follow we both had the duck with tomato and chilli jam and again nothing bad to say at all but the highlight has got to be tha fantastic chocolate souffle with home made ice cream probably the best dessert i have ever had. It was a little quiet but it is early days, i think this will turn into a very busy pub.”

“I went to a gig in London on my 18th birthday and after the gig finished we went on a hunt for a decent club to carry on drinking (on a Thursday night)! We found some flyers advertising Teenage Kicks at The Roxy and thought it sounded ok. It turned out to be the best night out of my birthday (there were 4). As I'm from "up norf" I always find drinks in London so much more expensive, but the cocktails were just less than £8 which worked brilliantly as there were 4 of us sharing them! I will definitely go back to The Roxy next time I'm back in London, the atmosphere was brilliant and the people were amazing! The bar staff were friendly and the music was good to dance to! 5*s”

“Well, the pub is not very nice, really. But czech girls are worth it :-) Specially one gorgeous blonde pussy cat. She's got long blonde hair (everyones dream!) and she is soooooooo sexy and beautiful that you have to visit this pub. I saw her there twice and always on Fridays. And if she is not there, never mind! Because the czech beer is great!”

“Rivington is a great place to have dinner and fantastic cocktails. We went there with my friends last week, it was buzzy, there were lots of people at the bar having probably the best cocktails in Greenwich. We will definitly come back because food and atmosphere are great!”

Cubana, Waterloo (Bar / Restaurant)
“Really good place with excellent beers (Budvar, Super Bok - OK, so they've got Sol too, but no-one's perfect) and the best Mojitos and smoothies I have had. I have eaten a couple of time with friends and had very good food for the money - a char-grilled free-range chicken/chorizo/guava skewer comes to mind as does an excellent marinated sirloin steal. Late opening, live Salsa music, friendly crowd all make Cubana, though if you want a quiet meal stick to Mondays.”

“Simple, down to earth Pub, with really good value food (especially if you take advantage of the 2 meals for 7 quid offer) and broad menu that would put some eateries to shame. The George is good to catch the football match and have a quick dinner with your pint.”

“This gem of a restaurant has taken over the former Browns on Kew Green. Its beautiful bar and dining room have been stunnigngly decorated. The food is really impressive and very reasonably priced, I've eaten crocodile and Bison on a couple of visits. It also serves some more main stream and equally delicious food. There is a very relaxing wine bar area with a rather impressive wine selection. I love the non smoking policy in place in the whole of the restaurant.”

“Get a life Ken, you raging alcoholic. Leffe is served in half pints universally because it's even stronger than your average wife-beater. And you're complaining 'cos they wouldn't do you a pint? You must be from Mars, or something. Pub's fine by the way... food's not bad either...”

“What a great place. Great food, friendly service, good atmosphere and not full of the usual bar flys. Have to say I rate this higher than the awful Canary Wharf pubs even. Still needs to take off though. Watched a 'Black Elvis' night there recently which was good entertainment. Have booked my birthday party there now. Having bought in Morden, I can tell you it is far more peaceful and less chavvy than the over-inflated W and SW postciodes that are our 'affluent' neighbours. A hidden gem.”

“The pesto tomato burger was quite good, and the beer choices excellent. Contrary to what others have said about the decor I found it to be quite warm and relaxing. It was a nice way to spend a Friday early evening.”
