“I was at Bar Soho on Saturday and I had an amazing time. I was in town with some friends for Pride. It was great to be in a venue that wasn't gay but was certainly gay friendly (being the only straight girl in a group of 6 gay men). The music catered for all of us, as they were playing funky house in the bar upstairs (the boys loved it!!) and dance-floor classics in the main bar (you can't go wrong with a bit of Black Eye Peas). The staff were also really fun (there was a cute bartender, tall slim build, seemed a bit shy compared to the big guy), dancing and enjoying themselves. I will definitely be back but next time I'm bringing THE GIRLS so watch out!!!!!!”

“Best Tapas this side of the Bay of Biscay. Great white wine and superb selection of real ales. It should be at the top of every CAMRA members list.”

Christopher's, West End (Bar / Restaurant)
“I started my evening in Christophers at the bar enjoying a drink with friends, and then joined colleagues for a meal in the restaurant later in the evening. The service in both the bar and the restaurant was excellent, just the right level of attention and the selection of wines available in the bar kept some very fussy people happy. The food in the restaurant was excellent the overall evening was really enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Christophers, especially as a perfect way to start an evening at the Theatre.”

“A fantastic addition to my local West Hampstead! (not that we have that many bars to choose from!) Alice House hasn't been open that long and I was put off going in italy as the place always seemed packed, however the trip is well worth it; the interior is stunning and a lot of effort has gone into their brilliant cocktail menu and food generally. I would recommend going for lunch/coffee etc when its slightly more chilled out - always good service and atmosphere. Amy C”

Lock 17, Camden (Bar)
“Lock 17 is a great bar to be especially in the summer. I went last Friday with a group of friends and we just chilled on the sunny terrace for hours hours. The staff are really friendly and the drinks are nice. On top of that the location is AMAZING! With a beautiful view of the camden lock and within walking distance of the hussle and bussle of the high street and markets, Lock 17 caters for everyone. A great day, in a great place....thumbs up!”

“An undiscovered gem in my hometown! I had a fantastic experience at Bouzoukia on the Hill, one I would recommend to anyone. I love greek food, but so many restaurants are missing that special something that Bouzoukia seems to have captured. Go and see for yourself!”

“Well I used to enjoy coming to this pub but a rather nasty incidence yesteday has soured my experience of this place. I've always found this pub a nice place to come and sit outside when the weather is good. Of late however I've been finding that within the crowd gathering outside there are now some unsavoury characters turning up. It seems as if the Bishop are not doing enough to detour such nasty individuals. The bishop need to stop serviing such idiots and ban them at the first sign of trouble.”

“I am a regular at this restaurant and to be honest I only come for the food. The service is appalling and staff are very rude and miserable. On my last visit I asked the Waiter for a bowl of hot water to heat up a bottle. First of all a bowl came then second attempt a bowl with cold water and ice came and then third time lucky a bowl of hot water came. The waitress kept taking away my spear plate with meat on it that I was was waiting to eat. I only go for the food and I've given up on leaving a tip because the service is terrible.”

“We ate in the 3rd floor restaurant. The fodd was excellent but the service was terrible, inattentive, brusque and patronising. At one point the waiter tipped the remnants of my friends previous glass into the glass from the new bottle - outrageous! we had to get up and walk over to the bar to eventually get out bill. What a shame when the food is so good - I would not go back”

The Canonbury, Angel & Islington (Bar)
“THE CANONBURY IS RE-OPENING AT LAST!!! Hopefully it will be open by the 3rd week in July. I've seen the inside and it's absolutely gorgeous - smart but not pretentious and the food is going to be affordable but good. I hear some of the residents are doing all they can to try and prevent it opening but they forget that it's been a Tavern since time began and ironically it's their houses that ruined the Tavern's garden and not the other way around!!! If they don't want the noise of people enjoying themselves on a sunny afternoon they shouldn't have bought adjacent to a pub in the first place!!! It's looked so sad for so long and we should all say a big thank you to the chap that's taken it over for investing so much time, money and effort in restoring it to it's former glory. See you at The Canonbury real soon!!!!”

The Red Lion, Barnes & Sheen (Bar / Restaurant)
“The Sunday roast chicken for 2 is expensive but great. I wouldnt call this a 'gastro' pub though especially when compared to the way better food down the road at The Bridge. The bar staff are absolutely woeful, not friendly, not fast, certainly not what Ive come to expect from typical Brit Bar Keeps. (Ive been here 5 times). But the bar staff outside at the BBQ are great. Overall If you want great gastro food and great bar staff go to The Bridge, although the Red Lion Garden / BBQ area is superior to the outside area at The Bridge. If you want a 'propa' local with stunning, simple (albeit Thai) food and a great barman go across Hammersmith Bridge to the Old City Arms - no outside area but it feels 'real'. The Sun is nice but food is awful.”

"Wife and I went here - “convinced” ThT an “upgraded experience would be worth it! Not. At. All. Complete waste of money! Decent club, but DO NOT fall into the upgrade trap!!!!! " Which venue is this?

Hated
