Top authentic Italian restaurant, with a modern twist. Easy to unwind/relax; with delightful paintings and bar structure. Great service with a cuisine and selection of wine to tickle the palate. Enjoyable... More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“Exellent place!! the music is fantastic - love the setting. Been there several times. Little proble with the service, i had a tab and a waiter refused to serve and said to go to the bar, until i said i had a tab. Than she was extremely friendly, and served us. Which i think is bull' if service is given to those who have money only. Other than that, i recommend it - make sure you just got paid and have a Visa, mastercard or Maestro and have a tab, to receive class A customer service.”

“The Gable is definitely up there with other top city bars - great fresh food (particularly loving the platters of nibbles). The wine selection is fabulous, but definitely the best thing about the Gable is the service. Marisa, Remi and the team make all customers feel welcome and valued. They are friendly, efficient and professional. p.s. Remi makes the best mojitos and many say he resembles Bradd Pitt - get down there ladies!”

“Being in the restaurant trade myself ,i understand how difficult it is to please all dinners, but this restaurant comes at the top of my list for Chinese. First class food, service, and decor. Strawberry Tiramisu a must it was delightful.”

“Went to my friend's leaving party last weekend at Mishmash and had a great time. We all really enjoyed ourselves. Got there early to take advantage of the Happy Hour and downed a load of cocktails. Had a good old boogie later on, think it was 80's & 90's. It did get a bit too busy and the music could have been louder but overall I really liked the place and will be back.”

“The food is good, tasty and value for money, but only if you are prepared to wait!! I’ve been several times before, but this time the service was just abominable! This is my story… I went to Ferrari's yesterday, Bank Holiday Monday with my parents and parents in law. The five of us arrived at about 1pm for lunch at which stage the restaurant was only about half full. We had to wait 45 minutes before we got our wine (after chasing the waiters several times) and our orders were only taken at about 2pm – a full hour after we had arrived!! It took 15 minutes to get some olives when in actual fact I'd asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I ended up getting them myself! We eventually had our meal, albeit with about a 20-minute wait between courses… we even had to wait that long just to get served desert! Unbelievable! The maitre-de’s excuse… we all arrived at the same time! This is excuse didn’t suffice as the restaurant wasn’t even at full capacity! I want to know is how they manage on a truly busy night! My father-in-law who is a great supporter of tipping for good service, he didn’t on this occasion and instead offered an explanation to the maitre-de. He did receive an apology and an offer of a free drink, but alas as my parents were due at Heathrow in a few hours we couldn’t take them up on it! Although to be honest, I would rather have had better service than a free drink!”

“This has got to be one of the BEST bars me and my friends have ever visited in London. The atmosphere was superb!! Nice to see a gay bar that welcomes all sorts of people from the sexual spectrum. Bar staff were welcoming, prices weren't too bad for Soho, music was quite good also. Even Posh Spice paid a visit!! At least i think it was her!! I think Soho needs a bar that caters for bisexual couples, maybe this is the one??? all in all a great night out, well worth a visit just please try and get a late licennce XXX”

The Retro Bar, West End (Bar)
“Hello retro bar. I was 65 today on the 28th May, and I thought I would visit the Retro bar with a younger friend (37). Sadley, the Bar lady, Wendy Lestoy, decided that because I had a drink earlier in the day, I was not eligible for another drink in the Retro Bar, even though I was perfectly well behaved and with my friend. It is quite apparent to me and also to my friends; that this was blatently, a demonstration of overtly ageist discrimination. And can only say, that if, this bar does not want people of my age drinking there, it would be more honest and less hurtful, if they made that clear from the door, with a sign, saying that this bar is only for people under the age of 40 perhaps? I certainly would not set foot in such a place, if I had known that I would have been treated by the staff there, in such a disgusting way. Maurice Hoadley. Sunday 28/05/2006”

Green Man, Putney (Bar)
“The Green Man has recently changed hands - unfortunately for the worse. The new landlady appears reasonably on the ball but her husband got into the gene pool while the lifeguard wasn't looking - frankly, this man would be out of his depth in a car park puddle (as indeed would some of the bar staff). While it may be easy to ignore the odd jarring note, it seems difficult to ignore the rapid decline of the food, the doing away with a promising line up of local musical talent twice a week and a pub quiz that makes counting sheep seem like a dangerous sport. This is lowest common denominator pub running at its nadir.”

“With any luck someone with some common sence will take this place over and restore it to its former glory. All they have to do is call it 'boho chic' and and fool everyone into thinking its 'retro' and 'old school'. They ignored the old phrase "If it ain't broke don't fix it" and look what happened. A testiment to the unpopular nature of the refit was that it only took a couple of years after the bland refurb for it to shut. Heres hoping luxuary flats aren't on their way to replace this once great old pub.”

“The enterprise, can be crowded, and a bit crazy on the weekend but is by far the best pub to hit before you go out in camden. All different mix of characters but is the hidden secret for the trendsters. The music is loud, but thats how we like it. For anyone that wants an atmosphere to let go in. Enjoy.”

“Wow! What a place. While i was in Bazz's extremely talented sons sung for us. The one i liked the most was matt, who was a very handsome young man although only 13 years old. I highly reccomed the bar for anyone wanting a good time with mellow jazz and rock'n'roll. Amazing. ”

Le QuecumBar & Brasserie, Battersea (Bar / Restaurant / Club)
“I feel compelled to contact you with a review, not of the experience my husband and I had at Le Quecumbar, but of the sheer lack of it. It was a Sunday afternoon, and we were taking a stroll around 5:30pm, too late for lunch, a bit early for dinner but we thought any place open and running would do. What better than a French wine bar (we love wine) we found just round the corner. It was open but desolate, only a young man and a young lady behind the bar welcoming us in and informing us that we will have to pay £12 entrance EACH. We asked why and were told that at 8pm (or was it 8:30pm?) a live band would be playing and that this is the entrance fee/ticket to see them. We informed them in return that we simply want some food (we were starving) and a drink and that would not take us three hours. They said it makes no difference; we'll have to pay the £24 for the live entertainment we were never going to get to see. I looked around at the empty place and due only to my hunger I suggested the option of staying for some food and, at the exceptional circumstance we were to still be chewing on our food three hours later, when the band would start performing, to pay for the privilege of enjoying their music. 'Non' was the answer; we have to pay £24 for the privilege of eating at the establishment, music or no music. A totally absolutely empty of any costumers’ establishment, may I add. A totally absolutely empty of our custom establishment for ever, I need not add.”

The Exhibit, Balham (Bar / Restaurant)
“Goodness me - don't believe the hype! I have lived in Balham for 5 years and, whilst the food at The Exhibit is consisently good, the service is amateurish; on my last visit on 17 May, the food was gorgeous but we sat for 20 minutes before we were even offered a drink. Inter course service, so to speak, was not much better and certainly there is no comaparison to the slick, attentive and professional service at Balham Bar and Kitchen. Generally, a good restaurant but could do a lot better! ”
