“The Tagine has a policy whereby guests must spend a minimum on food. This policy is not stated at the time of booking or on the website. If guests fail to meet this minimum spend, the management team/waiting staff pressures the guests to order more or to leave. During my experience, my friends and I ordered several starters with the intention of ordering mains after. Also, we brought our own alcohol in accordance with the BYOB policy. The owner, who at the time could not guarantee we would proceed to main courses, told us he was ‘not making money on this’ and that we should order more or leave. From this experience I believe the minimum spend is roughly a starter + mains per person. The owner’s tone was rude and my friends and I felt embarrassed by the confrontation he initiated. Upset by the exchange, we cancelled our order. As we were seen outside by our waiter, the owner stood shooing us and gesturing to the door. The clear implication of the interaction was that by ordering only starters at the beginning of our visit, and thereby violating the minimum spend, we were being cheap. The Tagine treats its guests based on whether they spend a sufficiently great sum of money. Warm hospitality is not afforded to all diners. This is truer given that other poor reviews cite rude staff and spending pressure as reasons for bad feedback. As someone who works in hospitality, I believe that all paying customers are guests. Staff should never seek to pressure or embarrass diners and should clearly communicate minimum spends.”

“Abysmal night We booked and paid £195 (including discount) per person for the New Year’s Eve party to make the most of a 360 view of the fireworks which should have included : - a welcome champagne glass (which we didn’t get) - complimentary shots (which we didn’t get) - access to a cinema room (which we didn’t get) - Dom Perignon (which we didn’t get) - a « survival kit »(which we didn’t get) In summary, all that which was promised as part of the reservation disappeared on the night.... After talking to a member of staff they told us that with this reservation we only get the view and nothing else. Avoid at all cost the next AtmosphereVenues events - they are charlatans and thieves!”

“What a beautiful concept, transforming ‘afternoon tea’ into a magical and mystical experience, sampling a broad variety of wonderful teas, an array of exquisite cakes, savouries including Bao sliders, Pistachio Macaroons with a variety of toppings, both savoury and sweet. Finished with Money Cake, Maj Jong tiles created from white chocolate with a delectable filling. Washed down with a glass of pink champagne. Table decor was beautiful with hand decorated song birds at each place setting for making a wish. Very special and memorable experience. ”

“Terrible behavior and attitude of staff This evening I was good mood and I came to SALSA SOHO in London for the latino lessons and later dance in the social. It was my day off which I have very rare. The security near the door asked me a document. I thought it was a joke, because I am 39 years old and in any places long time anyone ask me it. The staff near the door said that if I do not have a passport (ID), I will not enter the club. I explained that ID I do not have in general (I am not a UK citizen), and the passport I don't have everytime with me, because it is unsafe and many who can steal with personal belongings. I offered to show my passport copy in my phone and showed other documents with my name, surname. The staff told me that I will not go inside, it is not enought that I showed them. In any London place or other countries when I came for the dances lessons I didn't have this requiest. I asken to speak with the manager of club and I had hope that he/she will understand this situation. The MANAGER LUISA (she presented herself like this) came and she began disrespectful, shout a raisen tone on me, that she would not let me into the club. I tried to explain that the public information about this evening event was not anywhere written that I have to have my passport with myself. She did not listen to me and said to disappear from here. I was in shock how she treats me. She used the words "Fuck you", "go from here", etc. Who takes such people to work in public places ???  She doesn't know at least how to speak with clients, people. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I will never come back there. ”
