Possibly the worst night out of my life, mind you i am not that old. The service is incredibly rude and arrogant. They staff are not even that good looking as others make it out to be. May be its just... More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“Balans general level of service and quality has declined over last few years. We were treated appallingly on new years eve. Booking made 2 weeks in advance with friends. We turned up and manager denied this (even though they confirmed a few days before). Left standing outside for over half an hour until they decided we were worthy of a table. Food terrible and pointless complaining as no-one cares. Advice - steer clear of Balans. Their attitude to customer service is 'take it or leave it' and staff are too concerned with looking in the mirrors rather than trying to make dining there an enjoyable experience.”

“The best burgers in town, whenever i'm in London Blushes is the place for me. I always meet up with the guys here. Good music, nice staff, pretty girls and cold beers, right in Chelsea.”

“Wow but this place really stinks. Maybe the worst restaurant in the world!! The staff would make the warders of nearby Holloway Prison seem gracious and inviting, they did everything to make my friend and myself uncomfortable! I asked for a finger bowl after the messy ribs and was told simply 'No!' whereupon the waitress then stalked off. We left no tip and as we left the staff called out 'good, leave!'. Avoid this place like the plague my friends - there's another really nice Thai further up the road.”

“I booked a table in The Knaypa Restaurant for my birthday party and I could not be more surprised. The interior of the restaurant is unusual but very interesting. There are two floors, ground floor with modern style design, and the basement with traditional heavy polish style furniture. We couldn't decide where to sit so we started on the ground floor but as the party moved on we went downstairs. The food was delicious, we had an opportunity to try typical polish dishes such as bigos, golabki, home made dumplings. The atmosfere was great, it is my favourite place in the area. Definitely worth recommending!”

“Excellent service, food, wine and ambiance. Little expensive but worth every peenny. The recommended English Pinot 'Champagne' was very good and worthy alternative to the usual French wines. The chef/owner of Bentleys, Mr Corrigan was present on Friday 25th Jan and was both approachable and friendly. A very enjoyable evening.”

Red Rooms, City of London (Bar / Club)
“When you get to the red rooms don't appear too happy to be there as it's pot luck if you get in whether you are on the guest list or not. The bouncers have rule of the roost and if they don't want to let you in they won't. When I went there for my friends 21st even though we were on the guestlist they kept us waiting for 1 hour and a half only to tell us we're not coming in. Maybe if I spoke the same language as they bouncer as the two girls behind us did they would have. Pretentious is not the word...overrated. Security were just shouting at people to feel some sort of 'power'. They need a manager or meet and greeter at the door as this is the face of the club and people go there to have a good time, you should be met with a smile instead of a raging rotweiler.”

Pham Sushi, City of London (Restaurant)
“As I work in the City, I regularly visit Pham Sushi and sometimes when I'm working late, order for delivery. Very good quality food at very reasonable prices, nice relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant with very pleasant and accommodating staff. You should always reserve a table as it is often full. So lovely and fresh, I could eat there everyday!”

“Definitely a close second to Nobu in my books with better lighting and a much more relaxed atmosphere AND no time block for your table! Quality and presentation of the food is fabulous. A menu with variety that fulfilled the needs of a vegetarian, non-sashimi and non-fish eater in our party as well. The Oyster platter - ooooh! And be teased and pleased with the rich and delicious Unagi Fois-Gras Nigiri! The staff were friendly, attentive and highly entertaining. A nice touch with the decanter of hot Sake on the house whilst I was waiting for my cab. A firm favourite and highly recommended!”

Fish in a Tie, Battersea (Restaurant)
“Lovely bistro, with gorgeous dishes, very fresh and perfectly seasoned. Though not a risotto lover - I always have the seafood risotto and my sister not being a calamari lover always has it due to the freshness and cooked to perfection. The only criticism would be the noise levels and insufficient ventilation/aircon downstairs. Fish in a tie is definitely a firm and consistent favorite of mine that I recommend to lovers of good food."”

“Possibly the most arrogant and aloof place i have been. The staff thinks the world revolves around them. They are completely unattentive even though there were hardly anyone there. The only people are from outside London. You can tell because they think wearing all black is trendy. Hello! be a little adventurous! Weird vibe in there, the staff are confrontational at times as if to say its not their fault. I don´t think anyone knows who is responsible what. The drinks take forever and aren´t great at all.”

“The food here is certainly good. But like a growing number of restaurant they have a policy where they want to kick you out after a while and get some new punters in. Unlike a lot of restaurants where it is two and a half hours – at Shochu it only two hours. Which means if you have forked out for their seven course tasting menu – which they are not always that prompt in bringing out to you – you risk being asked to leave before you have finished. I tried to book at 9pm in order to avoid this but was told that they still booked people until eleven pm! Unbelievable. When you are spending upwards of £100.00 per head you’d think you were treated better than you would be at McDonald’s, but unfortunately at Shochu – that just isn’t the case.”

“There is no other pub on church street to match it. I love this pub, professionally run and with great bar staff, not to mention the only Cask Marque pub in the area, their ales will not be beaten. I can't praise this pub enough. I just love it. Newly refurbished beer garden at rear with covers to keep you dry in the winter. You got to see it to appreciate it.”

Hated

"Girls were rude demanding tips for a poor show. If this is the best club London has to offer don't bother going anywhere else in the city." Which venue is this?
