“The Groucho Club really stands out from the crowd. We had an event last week and it was fabulous. As a company we wanted to impress our clients and the Groucho Club certainly managed that for us, we had great feed back. The entire experience from the Groucho events team which helped us organise it, to the floor staff, and the food was really something else. The atmosphere in the Club itself is magical; it really feels like you are somewhere special. Thank you Groucho Club! We will see you soon for our next event. Niala”

“Went to Jerusalem last week saturday for the first time with a couple of friends and it was a blast! Great Music, great atmosphere and the drinks were very reasonably. I honestly didnt expect the night to be that much fun!! I think Jerusalem is the kind of place you go when you really want to have a laugh with a couple of friends and have a good night. Will recommend it to ALL!”

“These guys have done a fantastic job on refurbing this pub. While I didn't mind the old boozer it was small, dark, dirty, smelly and in a real state of dis-repair (I guess some people would call that character!). They have kept many of the original features and I think have succeeded in maintaining the charm and history of the pub(it dates from 1722). There are some wonderful old pictures of it on display). They have also opened a second floor with fantastic views over the river. Its family run so the staff are very pleasant and keen to help. Spoke to the new owner who has a genuine affection for his pub. Good selection of Beer and everyone in my group thought the food was great(would never have eaten here before). We will be back. A firm favourite!”

“My favorite Earls Court Bar/Pub. Good any time of the day or night and has an excellent range of premium beers and tasty fresh food. Luckily, it doesn't seem to attract the usual loud, drunk or abusive types you see boozing in Earls Court. And a great place for a cheap pint and some good grub in the afternoon. A mixed crowd of cool, friendly people - aged 25-45. Comfortable leather sofas, plenty of tables and stools. Friendly staff too.”

The Pembroke, Kensington (Bar)
“Ok as a gay man who's lived in Earls Court for 20 years, before I review The Pembroke itself, I must comment on the loss of South West London's last gay pub/bar. The areas huge gay population are now at a loss as to where to go for a gay pint these days. It's about time someone opened a new gay bar here and filled the gaping hole left by the Colherne. We don't all want to go to Soho or Vauxhall for a few beers after work. The Pembroke is a very nice venue and a cool place for a beer. I haven't tried the food yet so I can't comment on that. The venue is divided into 2 halves really. The bar area is along the far left-hand side and the main restaurant is along the far-right towards the back. Don't be put off by the interior views you may glimpse from the doorway. The bold wallpaper and stylish crystal chandeliers are only along the restaurant side. The drinking side still has a cool dark bar feel with wooden table and chairs, bar stools and very low candle-lighting. When I was in last Saturday night, the young, friendly bar staff served everyone with a smile - even the obviously gay customers. Try it. It's a nice place and the bar area has a relaxed atmosphere. I'll certainly go back again.”

“Exilio is the most friendly club that I have visited in the west end, where you get value for money, have a great time even if you have two left feet, fantastic entertainment, good looking crowd, very welcoming both the security and staff. Theme nights where you get giveaways, free shots and just terrific atmosphere. I LOVE EXILIO, Well done and thank you for making a space for the LGBT Latino community and people that love Latin music!”

Hi Sushi, Soho (Restaurant)
“We are Sushi freaks. Addicted in the worst possible way. We lived in the West coast of Canada for a long time where sushi is some of the best in the world and cheap. When we got to London to live we went into a major depression. The Sushi here is expensive and dull. We would go spend a fortune in sushi places and feel terrible at spending so much money and still came home hungry. Then we found this place. Its basic, but for those who just have to have that raw salmon fix then go here. You can pig out and the addiction is fixed for a few weeks! GREAT value for money, dont expect a fancy night out.”

The Triangle Bar & Restaurant, Finsbury Park (Bar / Restaurant)
“This Moroccan fusion restaurant-bar was founded by the two brothers in 1999. Saturated red walls and a gentle aroma of incense greet you in and a personal welcome by the owner most of the times is one gesture of thoughtfulness among many: candles cast a soft light, and each dish is a creative blend as well as a course in its own right. Boneless steamed chicken with sweet mango and chilli salsa was a toothsome starter. A succulent main of sea bream baked in banana leaf was nicely offset by fennel salad and coconut rice, while grilled ostrich was spiced up with sticky soy and served with fragrant Thai basil rice. Softly spoken waitress brought pleasing extras such as bread and olives sprinkled with cumin powder; If there’s two of you, try to book the cushion seating for more theatrical effect.”

The Tapestry, Barnes & Sheen (Bar / Restaurant)
“This is a fantastic place. Extraordinary food in a very nice location at good value. One would most definitely not expect such a quality for money in a place that might at first glance appear just like any ordinary local pub. Each dish is created with some idea in mind. This was one of the magic places shared with my great love; alas the love is gone, the place is still there.”

Picture of Tibits, Mayfair, London

Tibits, Mayfair (Bar / Restaurant)
“This Swiss inspired chic salad bar is new generation Cranks and probably where Cranks would be now had they not suffered in the hands of Nando's owners. Unlike the salad bars at Fresh and Wild and Wholefood Market there is a limit on the plate price so you are spared the shock to your debit card if you have overdone the heavy herb potatoes dishes, pasta and spiced rice dishes. Tibit's dishes are in any case far more inspired and titilating on the taste buds. Tibits healthiness is subtle and understated and they avoid all that pompous organic worthiness and self righteousnes that many lesser places use to try to make you forgive the culinary amateurishness of their dishes. All in all this is a comfortable place to eat where you are just as likely to find a besuited hedge fund manager fighting to save his career as you would a bohemian looking hard core vegan recording artist or celebrity. The food is a definate step upward without being pretentiious and expensive. I have no hesitation in recommending Tibits as a healthy lunchtime or pre theatre solution to clients at our Harley Street Nutrition clinic. Yvonne.”

Picture of Freud, West End, London

Freud, West End (Bar)
“This used to be a great hang for real arty types, not just the ones that like to complain. Sadly they've turned the lights up to accommodate the security camera's, which puts a huuuge downer on the atmosphere. The place can get pretty packed, which used to be fun, but now seems to annoy most people, no doubt as the arty types left and the regular punters joined in. Freud's as we knew her has gone, but may she return one day soon.”

Red, Soho (Bar / Restaurant)
“This is mixed. The best thing here are the Staff and the cocktails - all excellent although don't even think about eating here - luke warm and tastless food. The website & pics conjure thoughts of an intimate slightly sexy looking venue (we were told we'd have a private booth - um nope, just a small scratched table right by the door!) whereas its a rather grubby, somewhat dated bar that could be found on any street. OK, it's busy with lots of (very) young 'locals', atmosphere great for groups and is a great place for waiting to head into Club Valbonne which is right opposite. Personally i think there are loads of better places nearby though.”
