“A few work colleagues and I visited this place on recommendation and we had a fantastic night. Its very different to a normal Karaoke you don't have to wait around listening to other people, you dont have the embarrassment of a room full of strangers and the surroundings are futuristic and atmospheric. Of course the service will be a little slow there are so many rooms and most people ordering cocktails you have to cut the staff some slack. We had a very fantastic enjoyable evening and were even thinking about staying for a third hour! Will definetly be visiting again!!”

“A pub for people that don't like pubs. Haughty staff and anaesthetised decor make this chain pub as country as a mcdonalds.”

The Florist Arms, Bow & Mile End (Bar / Restaurant)
“The Florist is an absolute Gem among East Londons increasingly bland pubs and bars. Probably the best local in the east with great food, atmosphere and absolutely top tunes. I went there a few weeks ago and saw 4 lads djing, they played perhaps the most eclectic set I have heard outside my front room for years, and the place rocked, they said they play every second saturday so fingers crossed for the next one, I will be the one throwing down some killer moves.”

“Food is absolutely awful. I ordered a Peri Peri Chicken burger and received a stale bun with 2 tiny slices of Chicken in it! After complaining they bought it back with a bit of extra salad on the side. Would never eat there again.”

The Old Dispensary, Peckham & Camberwell (Bar)
“Me and a couple of friends have been to the Old Dispensary a few times now and have always had a great time. The decor is great (check out the chandelier!), and the selection of berrs good too. It's nice to see quite a mixed crowd in there. I haven't eaten there, but last week we were sat next to a couple who were eating some of the most delicious looking food I have seen in a while. This might not be the cheapest place in the area, but it's by far the best. It's set to become our regular haunt. Well worth a visit.”

Coach & Horses - Youngs, Barnes & Sheen (Bar / Restaurant)
“Was in London for a few days, looking around. Went to the Coach & Horses with a friend, lovely garden, lovely weather... Unfortunately I cannot say the same about food.... They really need a chef in the kitchen and not a landlady who doesn't know how to cook and starts drinking at 1 pm every day.... Good for locals maybe, that she drinks with them but for tourists, not really good publicity. Looks like the bar staff enjoy their drink every day from early afternoon as well!”

The Bishop, Dulwich (Bar)
“Pretentious Moi? My partner Eva and I popped into The Bishop last night for a quick drink before going on for dinner. The bar is trendy and newly opened, it serves a selection of beers Leffe, Budvar, Scrumpy, Abbotts, Ale Fresco; it also has a reasonable looking food menu. However, there is one issue that I would like to draw attention to. They do not serve pints of Leffe. I ordered a pint and a half of Leffe last night, and was told that they only serve it in half pints. When I pointed out that the other beers were served in pints, I was told that it was not the case for Leffe. When I asked why, I was initially told "I don't know" by the barman. Never daunted by being fobbed off, I made further enquiries; it turns out that they believe that it is only served on the Continent in half pints. Nonsense! Sorry guys, pretentious nonsense in my view. If the customer wants a pint, then serve him a pint.”

Egg London, Kings Cross (Bar / Club)
“I went to the Egg on a Saturday night for the first time in my life and I don't have a clue why I never been before. Probaly cause I'm lazy, but anyway. It was really hard to find but if you follow the laser lights, you will be fine. The first thing I noticed was the venue, as it's amazing and it took me a while to close my mouth. The second thing was the music. A club has never played such a good line up in my life and i was welded to the dance floor for hours. If you like funky house and you don't like this club - sort it out!”

“This bar is great, Been a regular for last 3 years and It never fails to dissapoint. Great jukebox. Amazing food. Freindly staff and the DJs play great sets on the weekend. I would recommend the Weds quiz It's a laugh we end up losing but still get some free booze as booby prizes!”

The Old Dispensary, Peckham & Camberwell (Bar)
“This bar is a gem. A group of us went there for lunch. The food was very inexpensive and absolutely divine. The wine list was equally as good and the staff were great. Fabulous interior with the funkiest chandelier I have seen in a long time. All in all a great discovery in Camberwell and well worth a vist.”

Oscar Wilde Bar, Mayfair (Bar / Hotel)
“Such a hidden Westend gem. I had a great night. Really cool place less pretentious than other venues but not less glam and full of beautiful people. The equally good looking host Luan was refreshingly lovely compared to other places compared to places such as Aura/China White etc. I think it is members only but without the attitude of other members bars. Also the place is just stunning - very decadent looking. A clear favorite of mine!”

The Roadhouse, West End (Bar / Restaurant / Club)
“Had an amazing time went to the roadhouse maybe 3 times a week in my time living in London. Fantastic fun, loved the band but loved the bartenders more. You have to check this place out! Wednesday to Saturday are the best days, but Mondays and Tuesdays are ok too.”

Indian Flavours & Mosquito Bar, Clapham (Bar / Restaurant)
“This is definitely the best curry house in Clapham! The food is fantastic and they will cook dishes which aren't even on the menu. Don't be put off by the home made video in the window - inside it is a cosy atmosphere which hasn't been revamped into a clinical curry house like so many these days. It is quiet but that is because no-one has discovered it yet - a bonus if you ask me!”

Picture of PJ’s Bar & Grill, Chelsea, London

PJ’s Bar & Grill, Chelsea (Bar / Restaurant)
“I was in PJ's on 25 July which was a Monday evening. The bar staff were nothing short of rude not to mention greasy and with a poor grasp of the English language. They were incompetent to the extent that when I asked one of them if it would be alright to shut the main front door (to stop the wind and rain blowing in) he had to ask another colleague (equally as rude and greasy) before he grunted a 'yes' at me. The wine was served in a very nice glass but at just under £6, (a price I don't usually mind paying) for the quality of the bar and the standard of the service was over the top. The whole place was lacking any atmosphere and this wasn't helped by all the staff standing in one corner, smoking, sniggering and doing very little but bring the level of the restaurant down. I would never go back there and wouldn't tell any of my friends to go there. ”

The George & Dragon, Shoreditch (Bar)
“Such a relaxed bar in the week and yet suitably hectic on a weekend. George & Dragon is a winner with everyone i've ever taken there: eclectic, random, friendly. an unexpected treasure.”
