Inc Bar 7a College Approach, Greenwich, London, SE10 9HY (Map)

Fantastic food, beautifully presented. I was really impressed. A vast cocktail menu and reasonable at £6 a pop. I can't fault the place. Unusual Decor adds to the experience. More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“The London Pride was excellent but the food left a lot to be desired. Especially for a pub near a major tourist attraction (and on a bank holiday. I would give it 2 stars max. for food. Staff o.k. and a certain atmosphere. I would go back if there were two positive reports on the grub.”

SW9 Bar Cafe, Brixton (Bar)
“We had the misfortune to have lunch at Brixton's SW9 bar/cafe at the weekend. Apologies for my overusage of the word 'rubbish' in the pars to follow, but there simply is no better description for this utterly rubbish venue. RUBBISH! The waitress, who after taking 20 minutes to get round to serving us, promptly came up five minutes later and asked if we would be eating this afternoon. Yes, you fool, when you bring us the food order you just took from us. Then forgot to bring us our drinks. Then took the drinks to the wrong table. RUBBISH! The food, which took years to arrive and, when it did, was tasteless and bland (I know that's a tautology but it really was that bad). The pitta bread was akin to cardboard, the butter on the garlic bread rancid, the leek and gruyere tart came in what appeared to be a store-bought, ready-made tart case... I could go on, but I just don't want to remember any more. RUBBISH! The decor, which is like a blind Changing Rooms team has been let loose on the place. At least back in the day they had the rude Keith Haring-alike painting to distract you from the shite purple walls and mirror tiles. RUBBISH! Playing Rachel Stevens' LA Ex twice. TWICE! So yes, SW9, rubbish to the core. If someone opened a decent cafe in Brixton, a la the much-lamented Goya on Acre Lane (come back Dennis!), they would make a killing. ”

The Dome, Kentish Town (Bar / Club)
“Awful. Upstairs is a painted school hall as opposed to a club, Downstairs is slightly better atmospherewise but still little to enjoy. The grossly undermanned security guard force is a testement to the club owners lacking desire to rid the Dome of it's dangerous and violent reputation. The drinks taste bad but when surrounded by a gang of 20 troublemaking rude-boys they taste even worse. This really should be closed and soon!”

“Unbelieveable! Turned up randomly last Wednesday, and found a new night, Slide London. These boys really know their house music! The dancefloor was absolutely going off. I've been to Thirst before, its a wicked place, but this was something special. Awesome!”

Mr Lawrence, New Cross & Brockley (Bar)
“have been here many times and the food is always tasty and good value. Bit smoky even if you smoke - they could improve the ventialtion - but otherwise, a friendly, laidback atmoshere - somewhere a woman could feel comfortable on their own. Provides newspapers. Good selection of bottled beers as well as wine.”

The Kings Head, Tooting (Bar)
“This is a great little find between Tooting Broadway and Tooting Bec stations. It has plenty of seating for a chilled drink and a great atmosphere, with none of the attitude that you find in some London night spots. The people are friendly and casual and there are different drink promotions every night of the week. It's the kind of place that you can spend a whole sunday or pop in for a few after work.”

The Idle Hour, Barnes & Sheen (Bar / Restaurant)
“Someplaces build a 'reputation' whilst others semm to be just granted them by muppets who think they know a good pub. And here we get to the crux of my problem with this place. It seems to have gone to his head - Such is the arrogance -probably something to do with being South African - of 'Simon' who likes to let you know that the pub is his (read the menu and count how many times the word me is used and you'll understand what I'm talking about). A pub is owned by the people who frequent it hence PUBLIC HOUSE. This indignance towards its patrons manfests itself at the bar where one can be stood at the bar for what seems a lifetime without even getting eye contact from the barman who always seems pre-occupied with something other than SERVING you. With the price you are charged for food you would have thought Simon could stretch to paying for another barman or maybe even getting out of his tiny kitchen to serve a few people himself - by the way where was that Gravy that takes you a week to make? In summary - Rudeness ruins the otherwise brilliant atmosphere but the food isn't as good as it's made out to be”

The Avenue, Ealing (Bar)
“Wow wow wow - I LOVE this place... so cool for ealing to have somewhere so chilled and funky. Particular great as it is not commercial and you do not have dirty old beer mats advertising 'Castlemaine' all over the place. The decor is amazing - somewhere that you feel relaxed in and could sit in for hours. This is definitely my new regular!”

Village Soho, Soho (Bar)
“The Village is one of the most realaxed and attitude free bars in Soho. The bar staff is friendly and and the prices are some of the lowest in the West End. The fact that there are four bars means that there are various options each with a different atmosphere. This is a highly recomendable bar, especially if you are tired of stuck up people with a bad attitude.”

“I came here 2 days ago and was very happy with everything about the place. The toilets were wicked with blackadder soundtracks playing (although someone should tell them that earlier blackadder is best!) The atmosphere was chilled yet bustling and the place seemed well organised. The drinks were as you'd expect, apart from the fresh juice bar which is a nice touch, and i thought the food was outstanding. I usually avoid sausage and mash because it seems like a bit of a cop-out, but i couldn't resist pepper and garlic sausages with red wine gravy! I'm glad i didn't it was wicked! The good lady had goats cheese and spinach parcels with pesto, which looked a bit weird but was apparently amazing!”

The College Arms, Bloomsbury (Bar)
“Great venue with no pretention or ponsey-ness. Nice wooden bar with good specials and choice of wine. Good menu for food at daytime, comfy leather sofas, big sreen tv, cool music and a couple of pool tables downstairs. young, friendly and lively alternative to the endless "chain" bars in the area.”

The Avenue, Ealing (Bar)
“Great little converted contemporary wine bar. Use to be Bolands – a quiet, tiny old man’s pub. However, it’s hasn’t just turned into the usual poncey wine bar. It’s well hidden away from the array of central Ealing bars & pubs which is probably a bonus while still easy to get to – 30- secs walk from W.Ealing station/3 mins from Uxbridge Rd. 10/15 mins walk from Ealing Broadway. Staff are friendly, helpful & make up good, if slightly pricey cocktails (off happy hour)! Décor is the main attraction – nice, cosy and dark but not in a ‘dingy’ way because the sand coloured walls reflect nicely off the candlelights, inviting you into its warm atmosphere. Good for escapists! On a down side, no draught beer, typical wine bar music & a little more pricey than your average pub but that’s to be expected - & the bar staff do give change in those silver plates! Also, can get pretty busy weekends but that’s due to the increasing popularity and word of mouth! ”
